How does this happen without management blessing it?

NECN is reporting that Brady was throwing to Edelman under the bubble today.

That is what I am implying. It would be kind of stupid because the team needs
Brady more to evaluate the wide receivers than benching him for the good of the
team.
I would have to imagine that the bulk of the evaluation of Brady + the WRs will occur from the end of July—end of August.

It’s difficult to imagine 3 days of a mini camp showing anyone all that much, at least in terms of a thorough evaluation. For example, guys like Matthews, Patterson, and Berrios are still trying to wrap their heads around the playbook, and may look much better 2 months from now. The same goes for injury evaluations.

The 2 guys that I think they may actually get a better feel for are Britt and Dorsett, since they’ve been here for awhile now and aren’t locks to make the team like Edelman and Hogan are. The rest may be difficult to judge in early June.

Brady ended the season banged up and tired. I think his absence is strongly tied to the desire to rehab, train, and recover in the method that he sees fit. On top of that, it could be a way to reduce the odds of injury in what basically amounts to meaningless reps.

The only reason any of us give a sh!t is because it’s not the “usual” first man at involuntary OTAs guy that we’re used to seeing year in and year out, but there’s a chance this could have been agreed upon as soon as the season ended.

There may be some level of resentment and even a desire to have a year or two of security added on to the current deal, but it’s not necessarily written in stone that this is the kind of temper tantrum situation that some are making it out to be. For all we know, this could be an example of Belichick giving him some of the veteran leeway that he’s wanted.

Of course he discussed this with Belichick. People act like he is sending some kind of message. If he wants to deliver a message he just needs to walk into Belichick a office and talk to him.
The problem is fans and the media are obsessed with taking the minimal data they are privy to and trying to create a story out of them.
Best example was the end of Tom vs time.
It was a documentary about the difficulties of playing and staying committed at his age. So he ends it with a statement about what those challenges are and people immediately turn it into some hidden message that he is trying to send when he has no need to hide any message.
The idea that Brady is doing things to vaguely send a message to someone is just foolish.

Why wouldn’t they let Brady participate?
As punishment for missing the OTAs. It would be very silly like leaving the second
best cornerback on the bench as Philadelphia ran and passed their way over his
hopeless defense.

Butler did something that went way over the line. We'll never know what it was but they thought was egregious. BSJ reported one of the coaches told BB he needed to sit. They have a line you can't cross.

Mgmt knew Brady wasn't going to be at OTAs. He did throw to Edelman under the bubble yesterday as NECN reported. He'd need mgmt approval for that. Nothing is going to happen to Brady for missing OTAs. He'd never get permission to be onsite if they had a grudge.

Apples /Oranges

Not gonna happen. Bit nice job squeezing in an opportunity to whine.

So in the end, he's just another Favre

so this week it's a mandatory mini camp.....supposedly, brady's around but not showing up?

so what's this, petty pissiniess because the pats had garoppolo on his tail for a couple of years?

screw him.......suddenly the importance of preparation is not all that?

if true, should have kept garoppolo and dumped his sorry ass

Well, if anyone knows the definition of "petty pissiniess" (sic erat scriptum or in your case, sic erat scrotum)...
