OT: Rex Ryan foot fetish? (merged many times)

Bullcrap. I'm sick of this attitude that we have to accept every single perversion and deviance people can come up with. I'm not saying it should be illegal, but any guy openly solicitating for other men to participate in the gang-banging of his own wife is worthy of the scorn and derision he receives.

No one said you have to do it.

But what does "accept" mean? I don't get it.

How does "accept" enter the picture at all?

What do you mean by it?

I absolutely believe that Ryan is going to be scorned by the general public because of this but in the end, it's not behavior that needs to be accepted at all. It's either legal or illegal.

Adultery, for instance, is illegal. This doesn't rise to the level of adultery as far as public acceptance goes. When it comes to the law, adultery is illegal. This, I don't think so.

Good point. Once (and if) you get over the embarrassment, imagine how this will work (if they are indeed exhibitionists) for them in the sack. Millions have now seen her cooch.

It should not be lost on anyone that this was all probably kicked off when Rex's jealousy of Belichick and Brady, combined with his exhibitionist tendencies, made him hold up a picture of his wife so that fetishists could instantly recognize her and trigger this mini-scandal.

Not enough is being made of the nudes on that one profile. That's the biggest problem, in my opinion.

It's a stupid double-standard, but it's akin to the arguments about being a manager in any other company. The NFL, players and coaches, are not even remotely similar to the company any of us work for, so it's not worth it to make the comparison. A cheerleader shouldn't be thrown off a squad for doing something she consents to with her own body.

But yeah, the nude crotch shots are pornographic but I also have not seen that. Other than that, the stuff is not pornographic. What Rex Ryan and his wife choose to do on their own time is no business of mine, whether that involves one **** or twenty, feet or no feet.

The only questionable thing here is the judgment to put it up on Youtube, which I'll agree was pretty dumb. Even with that, though, it really shouldn't matter to the common fan at all. Everybody has their own weird things that should really just stay in the bedroom; I feel horrible for Rex that it's come out into the public eye.

Basically, as much as I dislike the Jets, I feel bad for Rex Ryan as a person right now.

I agree with most of what you say here but really, I recognize a lot of behavior as owing itself to some pathology or unconscious desire. It's the way behavior works. I don't want to open up a can of worms, but I don't see why sexuality should be kept sacrosanct when so many other behaviors based in desire are openly discussed. This type of attitude just preserves the idea that sex is somehow a secret. It allows for all sorts of prohibitions, inhibitions and repression. Put it this way: one of the things that's saving Rex right now is that very few people want to EVEN think about the things he's into. That's because we're so repressed as a society we can't even talk about these things. But we're very capable of, say, firing professors for making political speech, or firing people for wearing earrings in their noses or tattoos. Fine, you say, one is private behavior, and the other is public. I don't make those distinctions because I've been through them and find the arguments contradictory, especially in Ryan's case. People are judged, scorned, ridiculed all the time. Put it out there, I say.

The bottom line is, I really don't want to know what Rex Ryan does behind closed doors but he and his wife put it out there for the world to see. If there was nothing to be embarrassed about well, he shouldn't have said he was. And he should stop referring to it as a private matter.

I don't think someone's insecurities might drive them to multiple partners. That's a hugely broad statement to make. Some people just don't believe in/can't do monogamy. But I do believe insecurities and a troubled background can lead one to a life in porn. That's why most porn stars are troubled people from troubled backgrounds. They are not what I would describe as "secure".

I guess it really depends what your definition of porn is.

But we shouldn't really assume it's automatic. One of the biggest porn stars comes from a happy, intact, apple-pie, very religious All-American family. So, I know you couched your statement about insecurities as "most porn stars," and I think you're right about that, but it doesn't necessarily tell us anything about Rex.

Instead, I'd say that Rex's behavior as a football coach tells us more about his character than this incident does. At least for me. Personally having Buddy Ryan as a Dad, well, that maybe would screw anyone up, and then your insecurities statement has some real oomph behind it.

That went right over my head. I still don't get it.

I read this: "There would certainly be cases where it is the result of insecurities, but I sincerely doubt that is the norm. In my case, it is the exact opposite."

This to me reads like so, "There would certainly be cases where swinging is the result of insecurities, but I sincerely doubt that is the norm. In my experience as a swinger/fetishist, it is the exact opposite."

F the Jets, they suck all by themselves. But homer Pats fans are embarrassing. Seriously, who wants to be the first to tell me why, if it was Belichick and not Ryan, this shouldn't be a big deal?

Because, Mr. Pujo, Belichick is a 100% different psyche than Ryan. There is not one iota of EXHIBITIONIST in Belichick. Ryan, in all facets of his life, is an EXHIBITIONIST.

Say what you will about whatever the hell BB does behind doors, he would NEVER be so stupid and exhibitionist to upload that stuff onto the world wide web.

THAT'S what this is REALLY about. Not the fetish, etc. But the DECISION to upload his own wife and his voice onto the world wide web. THAT calls into question his decision making process and his ability to make management decisions for a billion dollar business.

Well I'm confused about just one thing here ...

Nice feet look nice to a foot lover ... okay that one is easy enough.

But they like smelly feet ... fresh from jogging feet ... not clean feet.

That's the part I don't get ... smelly feet :confused3:

... must be a caveman era thing for procreation or something. opcorn:

Jane: Tarzan come on I'm hot
Tarzan: jane - you run around jungle first with feet wrapped in leaves.
Jane: What I don't do for this guy - some day maybe they will invent viagra.

I am not happy about this, mainly because I find it quite embarrassing to me as a Jet fan. Fetish's are not themselves a big deal, just sucks cause this is football and now we are all examining sexual preferences and such.

I think we're on the same page.

I just skip all the pretentious BS discussing the psychology of the sexual practices.

I can see the embarrassment. Were it BB I'd feel the same. Do you see this controversy affecting the team's preparation?

Merry Christmas.

I consider this bull. Come on, you're going to tell me over all the discussion of Rex on this board over the year, over his bragging, hell over showing his wife's ad at the press conference before the Patriot game, all the stuff about his Dad, well now suddenly when sex come up we're supposed to skip looking into his behavior? Why because it's about sex? But the rest of his behavior is open season for psychological discussion (which has constantly happened the last year on this board).

Makes no sense. The guy is a character, this is just more grist for the mill. I really don't care that it's about sex, I just find him to be a loose cannon.

So you think that adultery would be more frowned upon by the general public than having your wife get banged in three holes? Of course this and swinging in general would qualify as adultery and hence be illegal as well.

a·dul·ter·y [uh-duhl-tuh-ree]

–noun, plural -ter·ies.
voluntary sexual intercourse between a married person and someone other than his or her lawful spouse.

So yes swinging would be considered illegal in the states that have such laws.

Of course adultery is only illegal in around 20 states but the Land of Mary, where the Ryan's lived, is one of them so technically if they did partake in any of their stated goals then they did in fact break the law.

Of course as a Liberterian I could give two ****s what consenting adults do and believe that the government as no right to give a **** either.

However, I don't want to hear the words 'private matter' one more time in regards to this episode. The Ryans gave up any claim to privacy rights by posting this in a public forum.

And for all of the stupid-ass Jets fans who have been comparing this to BB's alleged affair (although both couples were separated at the time), adultery is perfectly legal in New Jersey and New York where I believe the alleged affair supposedly took place.

So BB is at least smart enough to

a. commit adultery in a state where it's legal.
b. not post proof of it on the Internet.

BB, intelligent and lawful - Rex, stupid, arrogant, and criminal.

==================================================

Maybe not there prep, but certainly an unwanted negative/creepy distraction.

Merry Christmas Pissah.

Rex Ryan is handling this all wrong

Ed Hoculi: The Jets player was stopped short of the first down. There is no penalty on the play, but I figured it appropriate to explain the Jets need a foot to move the chains. [Does this.] Repeat: the Jets need a foot.

RR: That's EXACTLY what we need.

***

Team Statistician: Coach, you do know there's three feet in a yard, right?

RR: [Expletive] right I do.

***

Mike Westhoff: Look, we've got the Bears this week. They might try that surprise onside kick crap, so everybody be on your toes!

RR: All ten of your beautiful toes.

***

Jim Nantz: And Santonio Holmes is out with a foot.

RR: Wish I was out with a foot right now. Heck, who am I kidding. One foot won't cut it anymore -- I need two.

***

Woody Johnson: Still can't believe I'm footing the bill for that sexual harassment training. Should've just denied, denied some more and pawned it on Belichick.

RR: You're doing what to the bill?!

You're going to have to explain to us how you can be an exhibitionist, voyeur, fetishist without posting on the internet.

There's a reason that the perv who reported this to Deadspin is now apparently a pariah in the fetish community.

Two out of those three would not really have nothing to do with posting on the internet. Exhibitionism is certainly benefited by posting on the internet. Voyeurism would involve possibly looking at stuff on the internet by doesn't really involve posting. A one can be involved in any sort of fetish without posting anything on the internet.

One, I didn't say anything about private matter.
Two, I wasn't talking about how this goes over with the general public.
Three, I was talking about one person determining whether this behavior was acceptable.

That made no sense to me. It's irrelevant over whether it's acceptable. The main question is, is it legal? Only his employer cares whether it's acceptable. As for the question about swinging = adultery, I can make a case that it doesn't. A woman was arrested in a town near me last summer when the arresting officer ascertained that she was unfaithful to her husband. He made the arrest. There was a betrayal involved that clearly figured into the policeman's thinking. so, I'm not an expert on this. Going off that one case, the betrayal was key to the arrest.

Outside of secret handshakes and feeling out acquaintances for this sort of thing, the internet is easily the most discreet way of finding people for this sort of thing. Otherwise, how do you do it?
