It's interesting. I really don't get a sense that Brady has an issue with Arians at all. I am not sure that I buy this retirement talk is his way of strong arming the team given they literally went ALL in last year signing all of their starters. There is no reason not to believe they won't do the same this year and hire whatever OC Brady wants, if he even wants one. Perhaps it is just him and Bruce running the O.

That's an interesting situation for any future OC. Clearly, 2022 is more than likely Tom's final year. Then what? What would the future hold for that OC w/ no franchise QB in sight. Unless Trask has developed in a secret fashion (unlikely), the Bucs need a QBOF. Once Tom retires I really don't GAF what happens to that franchise.

Exactly. I think Brady is tired of having to play and coach this team at the same time and try to make guys to play disciplined. Brady has always respected the hierarchy between a coach and a player and Brady never wanted to be a player coach. He 100% wants input on who he plays with.

the Bucs were 7-5 last year until during the bye week Arians let Leftwich and Brady change the offense. Having Arians call the plays next year would be the worst thing for Brady

I disagree. Brady wanted more input and control in the offense and the Bucs gave it to him.

Giselle is not the “oh I love my husband so much why won’t he spend more time with me” woman Brady intentionally makes her out to be. We know from enough people behind the scenes that she’s along the same lines of maniacal craziness as Tom and wanting him to maximize his talent and importance to get what he deserves.

Yeah they played that part of the interview on the Curran podcast and I didn’t find that concerning at all. Of course Gisele is worried. She probably was for the last 15 years. I took that part like Brady will be focused on the family side during the offseason. He was fully commited to football the last 6 month and now he will be fully committed to his family.

i thought Curran made a good points I thought. Brady children are getting older so they need their dad all day at home?

Not buying this Gisele let him play narrative. Tom isn't p**sy whipped. He'll do what he wants. It just may be he's done with the grind, who knows. If he retires, it's because he chooses to; not because someone demanded it despite him wanting to continue playing. That's such nonsense.

I think the Bucs go all-in to bring him back and he will do that. They will bring the whole team back together for one last ride.

They don't have as easy a schedule in 2022 but I still think they make one more serious run at a title and the GOAT will be a big part of that. And then if Brady is still elite and in the MVP conversation again in 2022 - who knows?

I refuse to think Brady will turn his back on the Bucs and leave them hanging. He's coming back for sure. Can't see it any other way.

This notion that he needs to spend more time with his kids when he has six months off every year is complete garbage. If he is done playing because he does not want to do it anymore or he really does not want to make the compromise anymore, then that's fine but he just needs to say that. Making this seem like his wife is forcing him or his kids are pining away for him rings hollow and comes across as him talking out both sides of his mouth. Just own the fact that you don't want to play anymore.

He’s using his family as a shield and I guarantee you Giselle is on board. Like, it really shouldn’t need to be explained that Giselle isn’t some trophy wife or some hanger on high school/college sweetheart who is now trying to be a social media influencer like the wives of every young QB in the league right now. Giselle is a freaking cut throat business monster who would be capable of running any number of Fortune 500 companies. In terms of the international scene she married DOWN.
