OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

Meanwhile, the AFC selection makes the Murray pick seem rational. What in the actual ****....lol.

You would think that the 1/3 weighting that players and coaches would get it right.

Fans will vote for their favorite players and teams, and often vote for past not current performance. So I can't blame them for getting their 1/3 wrong.

That leaves the media as the kingmaker. We know they aren't impartial and they like the hyped up and glamorous player's.

Thus you get the undeserving like Murray and Lamar as probowlers.

Murray is still somehow 3rd in the MVP race according to some. He’s not even the 3rd best in the NFC right now.

Rodgers really did inherent the mediot's love that use to be Manning's. Brady won the fan vote yet Rodgers is surprisingly the probowl starter.
Thats why I'm saying Brady lost the MVP Sunday night

Probably right if the vote was this week.

But I think they vote after the regular season. Without Godwin and Fournette, it will be tough.

We're talking players who are geriatrics in football terms.
A 44 year old Brady who's going to need help from a 32 yr old Gronk, 33 AB, and close to 30 Bell and Evans.

Bucs really need Fournette back for the playoffs. He became quite exciting to watch. He had become White catching passes except he could also run the ball.

He’s become an incredibly versitile dual threat that makes the Jaguars look even more stupid for just cutting him.

Also lmao 32 years old is not geriatric for a tight end whatsoever. Kelce is literally older than Gronk. And 33 years old isn’t that old for an elite receiver. Larry Fitz remained a pro bowl talent into his mid 30s

Yo wtf Allen got robbed

Beyond Allen, there's a much stronger case for Carr and Burrow, to the point you could put them into the "snub" category. When you go by my favorite baseline stat of ANY/A, here's how the AFC quarterbacks stack up.

1. Herbert
2. Mahomes
3. Carr
4. Burrow
5. Wentz
6. Allen
7. Bridgewater
8. Mayfield
9. Jones
10. Tua
11. Roethlisberger
12. Jackson
13. Tannehill
14. Mills
15. Lawrence
16. Wilson

You might make a case for Jackson because the Ravens record, except Tannehill would then have a greater case, he doesn't have the points scored or volume stats to support he's carrying them, and Tyler Huntley just ran the offense better than Jackson has at any point in recent memory.

Gronk is super beat up though. Kelce I don't ever recall him going through any season ending injuries

When both Lamar and Murray make it over Stafford and Allen you have to question if something bigger is going on in terms of race. It's no secret that the NFL wants to market its young black quarterbacks and this pretty much confirms it I think.

I suppose it's all they got is to come here after a Bucs loss when Brady lost all his top pass catchers in the first half because the salt is a mile high after Brady won the super bowl last year. LOL
You could set your watch here by the trolls after a Brady loss. The fact that they're Pats fans is disturbing. You would think they might appreciate what Brady brought to the Pats for 20 years.

It's pretty simple I think. When Brady won last year it took the shine off of Bill and the Patriot Way and that's what's made all of these so-called Pat fans so bitter and angry.

I mean think about it Mac Jones says last week that the team lacked energy and had bad practices during a bye week. When did that ever happen when Brady was our quarterback?

So it's like pretty much every day and every week they get reminders of what's really missing from our team which is the Goat and they still have to see him perform every week on a team that has super bowl aspirations that unfortunately may get derailed because of injuries. I mean Brady is having one of the best seasons of his career. Then you juxtapose that to our team where Jones has pretty much been minimized all season and it may be him that actually cost us a chance at a deep playoff run. Talk about pouring salt in the wound...

Rush (RIP) hit the bullseye when he made that claim many years ago and he got fired for saying what everyone knew was true.

For me, as a players first fan, it was always about Brady and not coaching. What happened the last couple of years has proved that to everyone but Bill's rumpswabs.

the lucky Kearse catch is always forgotten. Seahawks were fortunate to be at the goal line
The worst thing about that catch was the way Duron Harmon leaped over Kearse rather than knock the ball away. If that play ended up costing the Pats a SB win I would have given the unabomber a call and given him Harmon's address.

I mean this is totally off topic and too much information and me revealing the spoiled baby I am but Brady entered the Mo Lewis game when I was 10 years old. I am now 30 going on 31 in a month. Brady playing and working towards a SB every week is literally 2/3 of my entire life and as stupid as it sounds him hanging it up is kind of a scary existential concept to me. I just don’t want it to end.
Too bad Bill didn't feel the same way.

Pro bowl is a complete joke and it's a shame some voters will use it against some players in hof selection. What a farce. WwE.

They haven't started yet. I have an automotive class and lab set for next semester so I can figure out how to work on my own car/my relatives cars instead of spending thousands of dollars at the mechanics. For some, education is both pragmatic and enjoyable. For you, it's a way to try to make 2.5" appear to be 5".
One of my sons asked me what elective he should go for in HS. I mentioned the automotive class as a possibility and he signed up. I later found out that the class was a joke. The seniors got to fix their own cars while the rest of the class watched videos. They eventually dumped the "teacher" but my son's year was wasted.

Said it many times Pats would be champs this year if Brady was still here there is no doubt about that at all. Possibly repeat champs. And maybe threepeat champs next year. The Pats would jump way ahead of the Steelers and completely erase their legacy over the years as the winningest Super Bowl team.

Then when the time was right finding someone like Mac Jones after that wouldn’t be that hard to do.

Bad practices happened all the time with Brady as QB. And I'm pretty sure Bill would have done a better job against the Saints...when was the last time he lost 4 regular season games in a row against one team? And the one time Brady beat the Saints as a Buc, Brees was dealing with 13 cracked ribs and a punctured lung lol...
