OT: Official 2021 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

If he was on the Patriots there would be trouble. Not because of Brady but any chance for other owners to go after Bill. They never cared really about Brady so they won’t care that this happened.
He got hurt while playing for the patriots. so.....

Of course only Florio would try to make this controversial. Lol.

It just happened with Brees. His wife posted on social media about all his undisclosed, major injuries.

The injury report is about availability. Fines have come in the past when players haven’t appeared on the report and didn’t play due to undisclosed injury. It isn’t about expected performance or how much someone will be affected. That’s why the report only asks for practice participation and game status. I don’t recall a team ever being fined when a player actually played in the game.

This article from PFT…no follow-up or whistle blowing or tweets or anything, even though this is worse because the injuries were sustained during the season and had a major effect on performance. Also, when Brees injured his ribs and missed time, it was revealed he already had other broken ribs which weren’t reported.

The torn rotator cuff was never reported during the season, although Brees did appear on the Saints’ official injury report with a right shoulder injury in Weeks 8-10. Brees appeared to be struggling to put a lot of zip on his passes as the season went on, and a rotator cuff injury could be to blame.

The Saints never disclosed any foot injury for Brees on any of the team’s injury reports.

The last step should have said how the Bucs were a super team and just needed anyone who wasn’t Winston. Otherwise it’s perfect.

Leftwich was just waiting to break out as a great offensive mind, the Bucs defense was historically dominant, and Tristan Wirfs/Antoine Winfield Jr are the difference between 7-9 and a Super Bowl.

Oh man, could you imagine if Aaron Rodgers or Peyton Manning had Bruce Arians? They would have won two Super Bowls in 2020.

That's it. I'm done ****yfooting around.
Richard Sherman's arrest, Travis Kelce's name, Cassius Marsh (who?) badmouthing the Pats, Jake Bequette running for office in Alabama, Ohtani (what?), Soccer, the Barkevious Mingo and Frank Clark arrests, the NBA (talk about something that doesn't matter), Aaron Rodgers' unhappiness, Glenn Ordway's retirement and some NYFL player coming out as gay are all in the main forum but not Tom Brady posts. What the hell is going on here?

Gold medal worthy post. Awesome.

If you practice you don’t need to disclose the injury

This is hilarious. All the talk and excuses for Mahomes and his turf toe and then it turns out that it was Brady who actually had the major injury and still kicked all of their asses.

The narrative sure has changed since one minute before SB55.

Not that he needs it

Unanimous MVP in 2010 playing most of the season with a stress fracture in his foot. Led the 2nd greatest offense DVOA has ever recorded against a schedule that included 7 top 10 defenses.

That 2010 season was crazy. 14-2 and they beat like 8 playoff teams. And then they just absolutely crapped the bed including Brady. Rex Ryan’s defensive scheme that game was frankly a masterpiece. I give him far more credit than the fabled Super Bowl 42 defense which was “yeah get through the offensive line and sack Brady 5 times because Josh kept calling deep post routes to Moss.” In that Jets game Brady had tons of time, he had little pressure, and just could not do anything.

When Harris got that pick and long return snapping Brady’s record int-less streak I was thinking uh oh this might not be our day. Wasn’t all Brady’s fault the defense had an awful game and we saw the next season how bad it really was.

If they had to lose I would have rather it been to Fivehead and the Colts than the freaking Rex Ryan Jest. Still annoyed that the Jets talked all that trash about Brady before the game and they still beat us.
