I had forgotten about Gordon. When is his suspension up? What a wasteI'd love to see Johnny Manziel and Josh Gordon party errr play together some day.
I dunno. I think the kid has an addiction problem, plain and simple. He may even be masking mental illness issues. He can't handle his life more than he acts entitled. People who are entitled are rude and mean to "the little people." They don't show up drunk for work (repeatedly). The opportunities afforded to a young man in the position of NFL starting quarterback are mind boggling in their rarity. The world really is their oyster. Even if that effort to be the star QB ultimate fails in terms of multi year stats/W-L it still provides an extreme golden rarity.
Once drafted there really is only one requirement: work hard to be a successful starting QB and all that goes with it. So for this guy to blatantly piss so much of it away just so he can be the party! is telling. It tells me his parents and/or family members and/or coaches and/or authority figures in his life never enforced boundaries. It was 'Johnny is special, Johnny can bring home the wins, don't upset Johnny'.
I could be wrong about that, maybe people did draw boundaries, maybe he was shown consequence, and maybe he just told everyone to screw off 'I'll do what I want' despite consequences. But JM seems to reek of the kind of entitlement feeling that comes from multiple years of never being told 'STFU and do what you are supposed to do or else'.
So who ratted him out is all I wanna know lol
He clearly suffers from affluenza. The opportunities afforded to a young man in the position of NFL starting quarterback are mind boggling in their rarity. The world really is their oyster. The over/under for how long it would be until a lifetime suspension? 10 minutes.I'd love to see Josh Gordon in a Pats uni...
Technically, never. He has to apply for reinstatement.I had forgotten about Gordon. When is his suspension up? What a waste

You must have missed this from the Cleveland tourism bureau...
I think this is right on the money, Deb. The kid's parents were awed by his fame and are world class enablers who provided no structure or discipline. He's 23 years old, incredibly immature and, if I had to guess, is scared to death. I feel bad for him and hope there's some way he can get himself straightened out.
On a lighter note, if I were the Brown's new GM, I'd called that idiot Grigson in Indianapolis to see if I can get a handful of #1 picks for Manziel. Hey, it worked with Trent Richardson. I know the Colts have a QB but chances are Grigson doesn't know or won't remember. It's just a phone call. Worth a shot anyway.
Or he could just call Jerruh. He'd almost certainly cough up a 4 or a 5 in an instant.
Nah, gotta call Jer-uh.I think this is right on the money, Deb. The kid's parents were awed by his fame and are world class enablers who provided no structure or discipline.
