I disagree on Collins. In all honesty, he's disappeared since that one game where he had the interception.. Otherwise, he's done squat.

Dugger is a huge piece of this defense and Mills is also more important than Collins. The Pats actually got by a few games without Mills earlier in the season. The issue against the Bills is that Williams is better suited to lining up against the likes of Dawson Knox. Not Isaiah McKenzie or Emmanuel Sanders. The same goes for Miles Bryant. The X-factors will be Bausby and Ross. Whether or not one of them can line up against McKenzie/Sanders and limit them.

Isn't Sanders a bit hobbled? And almost 35? I think Williams on Sanders is not a concern if Williams can remember to stay with his man and not keep peeping into the backfield. Williams is not that fast but is big which makes up for speed somewhat. Sanders was great back in the day, but at 35, zero degrees out, and after a long season, I think Williams will be fine. We will see.

It's interesting APF....It seems. like other than the Jax game, all the costly/meaningful penalties have been against us.....maybe it's just me being a homer, but I am not usually one that will focus on the refs.
We don't control it.

But, it's good that we're familiar with it, and can anticipate it.

And every now and then, the refs get it right.

Williams is actually a good matchup on sanders. McKenzie is Bradley’s backup.
The key is who is on Beasley ( or McKenzie if Beasley is out).
Bryants trouble seemed to all be in bunch formations so if that gets corrected I’m good with JC on Diggs Williams on Sanders and Bryant on Beasley. Gotta win up front though.
Lazar said on his podcast that Beasley is actually a better matchup for Bryant than McKenzie was. Bryant just doesn’t have the speed to stay with McKenzie, but his strengths are technique and instinct, which play better against a beasely type

Me trying to stay warm

The teams are not evenly matched.

If the talent gap between these two teams is a few sand dunes, the talent gap between the 2007 Patriots/Giants was Everest and then some, and we all know how that turned out.

I'm not too worried about talent gaps. What matters is which team executes at a high level and plays well on Saturday night.

Let's go Pats.

I always tell people that the 2007 Patriots were the greatest team of all time:

If they played the Giants 100 times, they would have beaten them 98 out of 100.

Giants just got lucky and landed on one two potential opportunities (out of 100).

bullcrap..the game was fixed by Goodell.....that game ends when Carey throws the flag for holding, of which he had FOUR egregious actions before him to choose from...add to that the point of emphasis that season to call in the grasp and the indecipherable decision NOT to call Eli in the grasp when he clearly was, raised the stink that any rational American who has ever dealt with underhandedness in this country can easily recognize. Goodell was hired to make the league a parity exercise season to season. The Patriots winning and going 19-0 would have blown THAT directive all to hell...and everybody knows...especially the referee crew that worked that game. Some day the truth will come out, as it usually does.

They weren't.

You aren't the GOAT of you didn't finish the mission.
Agreed.

I don’t even think the DEC /JAN version was as epic as people misremember. The Fall 2007 Patriots were rolling though.

One goal: won the SB. You can’t be the best if you don’t reach the goal, no matter how good you were before you failed.

Still undefeated but the margin of victory and Randy's numbers dropped big time
