In that scenario you would be defending Bill saying after all the years of coaching and accomplishments he deserves the break and is allowed to go through that processWhere did you come up with that silly ditch-digging analogy?
A better analogy would be suppose BB said he was retiring at the end of last season, un-retired, tried to blow off his contract with NE by negotiating with MIA, and ended up signing a deal to do media next season for FOX. Would it be "sanctimonious" to suggest perhaps BB's motivation was not what it used to be?
This is saying more about the way you think than than the way I think. In that scenario you would be defending Bill saying after all the years of coaching and accomplishments he deserves the break and is allowed to go through that process
I haven't seen any posts of yours that are critical of Bill. This is saying more about the way you think than than the way I think.
In my world, one can be critical of both Bill and Tom if they do similar things.
In many other people's worlds, you gotta ride and die with either Team Tom or with Team Bill.
If/When Bill starts negotiating with other teams while he's under contract here, you'll find those critical posts.I haven't seen any posts of yours that are critical of Bill.
Show me a critical post of Bill that you have made and I'll believe you
How do you think Belicheck got here?If/When Bill starts negotiating with other teams while he's under contract here, you'll find those critical posts.
You don't think he was doing some under-the-table discussion 20+ years ago to get away from the Jets and come here to Foxboro?If/When Bill starts negotiating with other teams while he's under contract here, you'll find those critical posts.
Why do you care? He's not on our team. The Bucs are in another division. Jesus. Brady took some time off. He's spent half his life away from his family. Dr. Phil would call that neglect. How many players have sat out preseason and even games in a season for just more money? One of you haters theory is he hurt the team. There's no guarantee, he's 45 but I submit that even if some chemistry is suffered because of the time off, the team is still better off with Brady than with Gabbert. We get it, Brady is the devil.
Seriously.... you're Tampa's GM, and your options are:These are the same fools that blamed him skipping OTA on Harry’s garbage play, who in there right mind actually cares Tampa would excuse him till September if he wanted
Bowles was asked whether Brady got in a lot of work on his first day back.
“He did,” Bowles said. “He’s very familiar with the offense, so him coming back in and us getting back to work is kind of normal. Just getting used to the heat and getting used to the guys, but he ran the offense well.”
Wasn’t on the masked singer last week. Was wearing a mask though.
Where does this ridiculous notion that Brady has “spent half his life away from family” come from? The dude plays football; he wasn’t deployed to the Middle East lol. He gets six months completely off per year and still probably spends more time with his family in the remaining six months than busy lawyers, doctors, or executives do.Why do you care? There are few things more annoying, cliched, and embarrassing in sports fandom than butthurt sports fans going “yeah how come these diva athletes think they have it so hard when us hard working stiffs get two weeks off a year. They get paid millions to play a game!” Yeah here’s the thing, they’re the most excellent of the excellent at performing a very specialized job in an extremely in demand field that basically no one else on earth can do as well. You aren’t. If that’s an issue take it up with God and stop watching because you watching is what pays them.
The vast majority of pro athletes are little more than genetics lottery winners. And because of that they lead privileged, pampered lives divorced from everyman struggles. So the "spoiled diva" observation is legitimate, although in most cases they lack the real-world experience and wisdom to know any better.
Then don’t watch. Vote with your wallet.
I felt compelled to stop and take pics of Brate’s mustache mid-presser:
