Official 2022 Tompa Bay Gronkaneers Thread

“Like I said a week and a half ago, I said he’ll be back this week,” Bowles said. “So that hasn’t changed. We expect him back this week.”

Which day will it be?

“It’ll be this week, early,” Bowles said.

Near the end of the video session, Bowles was asked whether Brady would play in the preseason finale, next Saturday at the Colts. Bowles didn’t rule it out.

“Not yet,” Bowles said. “We’ll see how practice goes, and we’ll make those decisions at the end of the week.”

Stinnie was absolutely nothing special in terms of his own play but for the love of god an o-line needs capable bodies. How can they not make a trade for some teams solid second stringer or something at this point? It kind of feels like Jensen might be back midway through the season which would be a huge help and kick Hainsey back to guard but they need a solid guard now.

The Marpet retirement is looming large right now.

Bucs still have $9.3 million in cap space in the latest numbers from NFLPA. Still plenty of room to make additions as needed.

Bowles says Tristan Wirfs is "day to day" with his strained oblique and shouldn't be much of a concern relating to Week 1 against Dallas.

Reporters get bored too*...

Just tossing this out there for those engaged in #Bucs trade speculation: Packers actually seem fairly deep at OL and could use more targets for Aaron Rodgers. Bucs have logjam of WRs.

*Not that I'm above such speculation, either...

Bucs reached an injury settlement today with rookie outside linebacker JoJo Ozougwu, and as a result, the earliest they could bring him back on the practice squad is Week 4. NFL requires a lag from end of settlement to re-signing to keep teams from misusing waived-injured.

Our long national nightmare is over
Yes, after Gisele did some victory laps in the pool at the resort.

Too bad Tommy couldn't arrange his social calendar well enough to be at work with his team.

I guess all that time spent retiring, unretiring, negotiating with MIA and planting the knife in Arians's back made that too difficult.

Why do you care? He's not on our team. The Bucs are in another division. Jesus. Brady took some time off. He's spent half his life away from his family. Dr. Phil would call that neglect. How many players have sat out preseason and even games in a season for just more money? One of you haters theory is he hurt the team. There's no guarantee, he's 45 but I submit that even if some chemistry is suffered because of the time off, the team is still better off with Brady than with Gabbert. We get it, Brady is the devil.
