.... and twins!

Deus,
I get mad at you sometimes cause I don't always agree with your views. Which you normally strongly voice.

But you the man.

=======================================

Thank you.

Me and my wife are thrilled beyond words with the man she has chosen.

He is not much of a NFL fan and for some reason I've never thought to ask him who his favorite team is.

He is mostly passionate about motocross (and my daughter) as he is a dirt rider.

A machinist by trade, programs CNC machines.

We only have the one daughter, ended up doubling are wedding budget, LOL. But it was awesome, outdoor wedding here in OR, nice weather, great party after, 200 guest.

An amazing thing to walk your little girl down an isle.

Mazel tov!

My girls are only 4 and 10 months, but I know the time will fly. Crazy to think about...

Me and my ex-wife were blissfully happy for twenty years....

and then...we met:bricks:

LOL...I'm going to have to use that one Joker.

I think some of you see it negatively. This is a good thing, its a sign of leadership. The receiving core (both TEs and WRs) is loaded with young talent (Gronk, Hernandez, Price, Edelman, Tate, Woodhead, Vereen, Ridley, etc..). But no real leaders have emerged from that group. Branch is injury prone and another year older. I think he was a nice pickup last year but I have a feeling he could be cut. Ocho can do the exact same, is healthier, bigger and more aggressive (who isn't tired of Branch sliding down to avoid contact), and has an infinitely bigger presence. Chad can handle the media and who doesn't hate Goodell?

Damn if you aren't my favorite poster here, which is strange, cause you make me feel like a mental midget.

I mean "saharan sense of humor", I googled it and still don't understand. LOL

Dry..... very dry

saharan...arid...very dry

in other words..a dry sense of humor

I always attempt to obfuscate and obscure the obvious...

mainly because I get a perverse satisfaction from responses like yours

And before this goes any further, let me point out that I've repeatedly said that BB was wrong not to get clarification, since he was not going to be the final judge of the rule's meaning.

I can agree with you here. The rule had some ambiguity so the BB should have had it clarified rather than use the ambiguity to do whatever he wanted. Unfortunately it cost the Pats a boatload because they ran into "the new sheriff in town."

Congrats! My daughter just go married at the end of December...and there went the $$ for this year's season ticket. I'll be watching at home this year.

DUDE........... we went through this in 2007 (I know you weren't here then). Anyway....... As I vocalized quite a bit back then.........

NO. It was not okay to break that rule...... not at all. However, with that said..... It's hard to categorize what actually happened as "cheating".

Does anybody even USE a dictionary anymore.......

BB never even REMOTELY attempted to hide what he was doing. That was the effing problem. None of those thing apply to what actually happened. He's such a football nerd, he filmed opposing coaches to see if he could discern tendencies and habits of coaches for later use...... that hardly fits the description about.

Dude, Though I am totally against your main point - asking Ocho to shut up because we shouldn't rile Goodell - this is a great post on a side point (which IMO is more important). Thanks!

I'm glad to see this thread take a more light-hearted track.

Btwn this one w/ CameraGate, and HorseFace v. TFB, and Brandon the Spike...
As Oddball might say: too many negative waves, man.

Cool story bro time:

In 8th grade I had a first year history teacher. One day, while the principal was observing his class, some friends and I decided to play cards during a group activity after we were finished. The teacher came over, took the cards, and gave us all detention for a week.

At the time, we all thought it was BS and totally overblown. Then I thought about it, and here's a young guy, trying to get started in his career and set the precedent (in front of his boss no less). He wanted to make an example, and it worked.

That's what happened here. New commish, someone breaking the rules in fairly open fashion, he came down hard to set an example that no one is above the rules. Sucks for us, but them's the breaks, IMO.

... chad is who he is ... a good, solid, smart, entertaining wr ... who also is very needy of attention & will do what he can to put the spotlight on himself ...

... if you expect a leopard to change it's spots you will disappointed this season ...

Drawing a flag is a penalty within the game.

Whatever. I find it amusing the way people rationalize what happened.

It's like if one of my relatives were caught breaking the law and then gets punished, I'm not gonna rationalize it other than what he committed if he is found guilty. I'll say he "screwed up", still treat him the same (unless it's a serious offense) and keep it moving.

The only thing I say about spygate is that if it was serious enough, then the NFL would have taken those championships away or at least banned BB for a significant amount of time.

The infraction and subsequent punishment for Spygate is akin to someone who gets pulled over for going 15 MPH over the posted speed limit getting thrown in prison for 25 to life. There is no rationalization, only the facts.

So just because he didn't attempt to hide what he was doing even though he was violating a rule means that he was not cheating? Really? If you were in class taking a test and you openly take out your notes and start referring to it without trying to conceal what you were doing, you wouldn't consider it cheating? By your definition, it wouldn't be cheating right?

Not if it was an open-book test. Remember, filming signals is legal.

I thought he was gonna keep his mouth shut and enjoy football...I guess you can't change some people

Has he said/written anything that has been derogatory to his performance or that of the team? I wouldn't have thought so.
