Name an act by a NFL fanbase at any time in NFL history that’s worse than turning on Tom Brady.

back the f up with that shiznit.... who turned on him? Fans can be pissed that he intentionally didn't thanks the guys who supported him when the world was against him. we "defended the wall" and he stabbed us in the back. you can be angry at someone or at someone's actions and still consider them the greatest of all time.... that's what being a fan is about.... but I forgot we have loads of carpetbaggers on here that aren't Boston sports fans.... that's how we are.....way too many people "picked" the Patriots as "their" team

Literally try and imagine a fanbase that viciously turns on the greatest player/leader/quarterback in NFL history, who proudly wore their uniform for two decades, because HE was ran out of town and rejected by the ****ing organization.

This isn’t a Tommy thread. It’s a You thread.

I’d literally rather be known for throwing batteries at Santa than turning so visually against Tom ****ing Terrific after twenty years.
I can’t think of any legacy that any other NFL fanbase has as a mark against them that’s more putrid than that.

Tom Brady’s retirement thread is up and if we followed the same course as the last two years, half of it should be people snidely asking why it isn’t in a dingy, dusty sub-forum of outcast posters and 2nd class citizens.

This is Tom ****ing Brady we’re talking about here, incase you forgot. Tom Brady.

You used to listen to Gil Santos excitedly call his touchdown passes while driving through ****ing snow storms. You watched him almost go undefeated with your entire community, and probably friends and family that aren’t even with you anymore.

But you literally rooted for his failure in Tampa, and like a Colts and Bronco fan, suddenly try attributing all his success to a ****ing “system.” Honestly, these are ****ing Pats fans I’m talking about.

Pats fans.

I can’t think of a single character-defining deed by another fanbase that rises to the level of vile seen here, on this subject, since the beginning.

And now he’s retired.

If the ****ty ass sentiment against Tommy on this forum rises to even a ****ing 3rd of all IRL Patriot fans, then this organization deserves to be ****ing cursed for a thousand years.

Literally name a vibe worse than turning against Tom Brady for reasons by another fan base at any time in NFL history.

Name one example. I’m really struggling to think of even one.

You really see what we are now without all the dominant, style-points riddled winning, and it doesn’t look pretty. Looks pretty unbearable, actually.

Yeah, that’s right, I’m the ****ing fan police. I regulate **** behavior, like Batman.
The only thing you regulate is your bowel movement with Metamucil. Shut up already

Like a typical goblin-person, you assume admiration and respect is the same as slavish devotion, which you admit to have for “laundry.”

Yeah, if you’re an ex-heroin addict with alcohol problems, a huge gut, an ugly wife, an orcish face, and no ability for anything, I’m sure it’s easy to just be like, “bah, **** Tom, i wanna’ see what this other kid can do because if he sucks, nobody loves complaining more than me.”

As for the rest of us that watched him passionately achieve greatness and watched every single last one of his games from 2001 on, that take is a little shocking.
I don't believe that I ever admitted to having a slavish devotion to laundry.

I'm a Pats guy, not not a Bill or Tom guy; I appreciate everything that Tom has done, but I'm just not overly sentimental (if that makes me a Goblin in your eyes then that's fine).

I don't understand why it's so important for you that everyone react to Tom in the same hero worshipping fashion as yourself. Seems a bit odd and stalkerish to me for a grown man to fixate on Tom, or anyone else, like this.

Feel free to have the last word and please instruct me on proper fan etiquette so I can become a better fan.

Wow, butthurt much? TL;DNR. Some of us have a life...others, maybe not.

Not NFL.

But in Europe, a soccer player was killed by fan (s) for making mistake in a losing cause.
Also happened to a Colombian soccer player in the mid 90s after an own goal contributed to a loss against the US.

Edit: already brought up in this thread, Andres Escobar.

Waiting on hold for two hours to tell Mazz that Brady is over the hill before wanting to make a few quick points about the Red Sox isn’t really a life.

Yes, that is clear. Best of luck getting things under control.
Amazing how Brady-hating “laundry” types react to a mirror showing their wretched goblin-behavior similar to how a vampire reacts to a cross & sunlight.

You’re like a Colts/Chargers/Raiders/Steeler fan now from the 2000s. You’re like a Bronco/Ravens/Jets/Chiefs fan from the 2010s now. ****ing sad. My opinion on this hasn’t changed in twenty years.

Sorry you’re so dumb now.

You've got me all wrong, pal. I love Tom Brady for what he did as a Patriot -- I attended every game he ever played in Foxboro, numerous away games and four Super Bowls. Yes, I do my own laundry. The rest of this stuff about goblins, vampires and fans of other teams doesn't quite compute so if that makes me dumb I guess I'll have to agree.

Literally his retirement week. The entire media world is singing his praises after using him to create controversy for twenty years. The end of a legendary football era.

And it’s New England fans specifically, like yourself, that are literally _the only ones_ making a point to state they didn’t give a **** about him after our **** upper echelons showed him the door. I literally don’t care that you’re a season ticket holder. The attitude towards him is historically ****ing shameful, *****, and honestly typical of the region’s worst people.

And I’m not telling you that you need to “love Tom forever this much.” I’m telling you you’re in the most putrid sphere of the Bawstun’ fanbases, and it’s actually cringey AF to see.
