Manning's passer ratings in playoff losses:
62.3 (0 td, 0 int)
82.0 (1 td, 0 int)
31.2 (0 td, 2 int)
35.5 (1 td, 4 int)
69.3 (0 td, 1 int)
90.9 (1 td, 0 int)
97.7 (3 td, 2 int)
90.4 (1 td, 0 int)
Blaming the defense is a cop-out for the Manning apologists on this issue.
Also, one other thing of note: Manning has played in 15 playoff games and, given that he's been bounced early more often than Brady, he's played a higher percentage of 'lesser' opponents than has Brady. Nonetheless, he's led the Colts to fewer than 20 points on 8 occasions. Brady, in 17 playoff games and against better teams, has led the Patriots to fewer than 20 points in only 4 games.
I do enjoy these arguments from the point that it makes everyone a much more skilled Peyton Vs. Tommy debater - No matter the side you are on, it's a great lesson on the game of these two future HOF'ers............well at least one certain first ballot HOF'er.
