Is the brady vs belichick debate ruining this board or is it just me?

I thought Tommy was Superman and can turn bad players into good players?
It always helps to have a great qb like TB, but let's be honest, football isn't basketball, it's going to take more than one player to make a difference...for example, does anyone think if we put TB on Detroit next season they are a Super Bowl contender? It's a team sport and I don't want to minimize how important the qb position is, but they are not turning bad players into good players. It's the ultimate "team sport".

All i hear on this forum is how Tommy can turn water into wine. However, when he lost Godwin and AB last year, he struggled against good teams. He looked like 2019 Tommy.

Not even Superman can make Dorsett, Harry or the corpse of Ben Watson good football players lol. I'm not blaming BB either for that season since he did try to salvage it by bringing in AB and the Sanu trade. Just didn't work out.

He had enough to beat Tennessee in the playoffs.

Generally the difference between the two sides is the Brady side is rooting for both Bill and Brady to succeed while the Bill side is rooting for Brady to fail because that makes then big true Patriot tough guys. Then they get in a little huff and whine to the mods about anything Brady related being on the main board. One side seems happy and well adjusted while the other side seems bitter and trying to overcompensate.
Generally the difference between the two sides is Team Brady continues to post passive aggressive pot shots and ripping into BIll at nearly every turn, and by extension the team every chance it gets.

Yours was a classic example of that.

At this stage it's morphed beyond the DOA Brady vs. Belichick nonsense to in-the-tank Buccaneers homers vs. the Patriots and their fans. Whoever thought this great message board created by @Ian for enjoyment of the New England Patriots would devolve into pathetic tribalism prompted by people switching loyalty to another team.
Great, a load of crap from the troll who tried to disrupt the sub-forum that Ian created to avoid that same crap.

The fact is that Brady vs Belichick may be a real thing but the problems created here seem to be coming from defensive Belichick supporters more than anyone else. Apparently you're one of those.

@1960Pats , guess who's ranked 145th in NFL history in yards/completion....if you guessed Tommy Brady you are correct! All Bill needs is another competent dinker and dunker to run the Erhardt-Perkins offense, which is what we have now in Mac.

You caught me. You win. Congrats you're a better fan of the team than I am. I am sure Bill will knock on your door any day now with your prize.

When you look at the fan forums of the other 31 teams, they consistently have posters criticize both their GMs and HC. Why is that? Because that's what fans do.

In our case, Bill is both GM and HC. It's natural that Bill would see more criticism than normal given that he's not only the cook but also buys the groceries. Bill is hardly a likeable guy. Even Kraft called him an A-hole. News flash: Bill makes mistakes.

Despite there being posters that have been criticizing Bill for years, somehow any criticism of him by posters that continue to support the Goat is viewed as some unique event that needs to be cancelled. More so, posters that continue to support Brady's career are viewed as traitors and not being Pats fan worthy (despite the forum creator being one).

It's clear that despite the team Bill homer attempts to ridicule the pro Brady posters as holding TFB as a deity; it is in fact the team Bill posters that are obsessed w/ Brady in a truly sad, jilted bride sort of way. They get offended by any mention of or threads started about Brady while having no issues with threads about Tyreek Hill, Deshaun Watson or any other pos player. They start these Brady vs BB threads and then use them to complain about the pro Brady posters (who don't start them). They get triggered by any criticism of their deity Bill and accuse anyone doing it of being a Brady fan (as if that's a terrible thing).

Unfortunately, this will never stop since their therapy is going nowhere. Even after Bill and Tom retire, they'll never get over their feelings of abandonment, despair and rejection when Brady decided to leave the Pats. The fact Tom is succesful w/o Bill (and w/ BA, lol) is just the twisting of that imaginary knife into their sensitive psyche.

Maybe Ian can start a Brady PTSD forum moderated by a Pats fan psycologist, therapist or even psychiatrist to help these poor folks out.

One of the more disingenuous posts I have seen on the topic.

One might say that the Brady fans can quite easily be considered Pink Hats in actuality aren't fans of the New England Patriots. They are bandwagon fans who only want to root for a team with Brady, which is further supported by bradygronkaneer threads in the Brady forum. Congratz, you've all become cowboy fans... you know the kind - the ones that only show up when the team wins...

Maybe @Ian can start a forum for obsessive complusive stalkers who seemingly can't let go of a player, so much so they now are actively rooting for another team to win, while tearing down their purported team in nearly every post.

Brady vs Belichick is ********.

They do two different things.

One guy throws a football, the other runs an organization. Anyone who thinks there is a parallel between the two is an idiot.

This is the preferred door knob of Team Bill posters. They get a kick out of fondling his balls.

See? more BS.

It has nothing to do with me being a "better" fan. It has everything to do with me actually being a fan of this team. Not some front running pink hat.

You sure about that? Bill's team is just .500 since Brady left.
No, he's not right. He's factually incorrect in stating Bill let Brady go. Bill offered him a deal. Brady chose to walk away after getting the no tag clause from the team. He knew he was walking away from New England.

Exactly why imho that keeping Brady would have been more important. A QB to me is more important than a HC, even in football, unless that HC is a dunce, which of course Bill is not. No offense to anyone, but I preferred that Brady stayed here at any cost.

But he's gone, has been for a while, and now it's time to go in another direction, and Bill is a real good HC to take that ride with. So let's move on.

Oddly, it isn't the QB position that bothers me now. I think Jones is fine and has room to grow. As one poster says "it's Mac to the future." It's everything else in a way that concerns me, especially now that so many teams have improved. It's still early so we have time.

Bet then, it really doesn't matter much to me how they do. They're way ahead of the game and would have to lose a lot just to get to even. I don't think I have that much time left. :)

I always go back to what my dad said to me about a year ago....he told me "players play the game" they are always going to be more important than a coach....he also said a coach can't win without good players....but a great team can be held back by a bad coach.

I go back to our 2018 sb win......we wouldn't have won the SB without TB and how great he was in the 2nd half against KC, soooo clutch!!! Then fast forward to the SB... BB put an incredible game plan together and totally outcoached McVay(even he admitted it) that it was a total team effort( TB and BB) working as a team, the two GOATS...If we had a different QB or a different Coach that year, we aren't winning the SB....to me, that was the ultimate team win!!!!

So you're calling Ian a Pink Hat bandwagon fan because he wants to see Brady succeed in his career despite playing for another team as he's stated on multiple occasions?

It must be nice to be so judgemental about how other people choose who and what to root for on a football forum. Please feel free to pass along the Loyalty Oath you took when you became a Pats fan to the rest of us.

No. I'm calling you a pink hat. Ian doesn't go around tossing out troll posts all day long. You do.

Is it judgemental? I don't think it is.

We would have won (at least) 13 games last year had Brady been on the team, had the #1 seed and most likely been in the Super Bowl.

How you doing in your NCAA pool? Killing it, I guess with your predictive acumen.

Oh, you dont actually fill it out until May 15th - and always get it right. Weird approach, but whatever works.

But that's not what you said:

Like a bunch of us, Ian is a Brady fan, despite him being on another team. You deciding that Brady fans "in actuality aren't fans of the NEP," is 100% being judgemental. Your intolerance is well noted. (BTW I like you, we just don't see eye to eye on this).

Nobody is blaming Bill for “everything”
I dunno...my sister's cousin's girlfriend's brother saw him talking to Janet Yellen last week...something about inflationary pressures...

I wish your hospice center would just take away your internet.

I hope not, I enjoy watching the Brady porn films. A new one daily. Are we you in any of his boy films? Could you send me a photo of yourself, in the Internet, so I can watch for you in his films and I can tell my friends at the center, that I know you, and point you out. Could you autograph it and say "To Brewskies" "love Bruins29" BTW is the 29 your IQ?
All of it. The part about the football is pure insanity. The part about deflategate is either ignorance or just plain foolishness on multiple levels.
You are such an authority Deus Irae. BTW please tell me why did Brady get suspended the first four games of the 2016 season? Let me remind you that the NFL said that Brady "cheated." You have chosen to take a name of a science fiction novel so maybe "the truth" isn't a part of your makeup. Are you a liar, a story teller, or a legend in your own mind? Did Brady cheat? Why did he get suspended 4 games? Why does a respected organization like the NFL say he cheated? If the NFL is not a respected organization why do you get so excited over a NFL player or are you obsessed with me?
