Why can't we just have differences of opinion without the conversation downgrading into whose parents were or were not married at the time of the others conception?
Brady is the greatest of all time, nobody can really make any other (logical) claim otherwise. Now if Brady was drafted by say the Browns, would he have won 7 Superbowls? Of course not. I've always said that NFL greatness is a combination of play and circumstances. If you flipped Brady with Manning, I think Manning on the Pats would have won more than Brady on the Colts. On the other hand if Brady had gone to Pittsburgh. I think he would have won just as much as he did with the Pats.
My avatar is an actual picture of the infamous NEM. He and I agreed on nothing politically, but I always had fun talking to him and never questioned the legitimacy of his parents' marriage. He had an unnatural hatred of Charlie Weiss and was 100% correct when he was advocating drafting DeMarcus Ware in 2004, long before anyone had anyone had ever heard of him, or Troy (so much so that the Pats never had a chance to get him at #32).
Too many times, I see a thread has an additional 3 pages, and I go to it, thinking there is new information, and it turns out to be three pages of saber rattling between two posters.
Nobody has been more critical of BB the GM than me, but it doesn't mean that I don't believe him to be the greatest HC in the history of the NFL.
Brady and Belichick was the perfect combination, like Proter and Gamble, Smith and Wesson, and of course, the Captain and Tennille. You can't judge one of their careers without the other.
We are not all supposed to have the same opinions, if we did, how boring would that be? Just because you don't agree with someone, does not mean you have to hate that person, or spew vile at them. If you are right, you should be able to logically put forth your points without vitriol.
We should adopt the standards of the British House of commons, when addressing another member as the "Right and Honorable Gentleman (username)" before tearing into their opinions.
