OK, so I have to ask you - because I've been quietly watching this go on for a while now and I'm sort of curious as to what your issue is with Tom? How is being 7-3 in Super Bowls a bad thing...? And in each of the two losses against the Giants, he led them both times for a go-ahead touchdown late in the game before the defense gave up a score in the closing seconds, so while he could have been better, it's not exactly like he was completely terrible. Last I checked, we've had two decades that were far better than what 31 other teams had, so I just don't understand the ire you seem to have with him?
I'm just having some fun with the Tommyites...they go ballistic when it comes to Brady
7-3 is a great thing. But as I mentioned before, Brady's super bowl performances even in the SB wins is not always great. I was merely comparing him to Montana who has a significantly higher quarterback rating in the Super Bowl. Some folks here don't like that...I have no idea why. If Brady makes a mistake according to them (at least 10 by my count in the SB), it's someone else's fault (receiver ran the wrong route, ref shouldn't have thrown the flag, bad play call, etc).
And yes, Brady led his team to go ahead touchdown late in SB 42 (not in SB 46, where the last time the Pats scored was early in the 3rd quarter). But the game is 60 minutes and it was the most important game in NFL history. You can't expect a defense that allowed only 17 points to do any better. THe offense had to step up and Brady (by his own admission) stated he could not figure out the Giants blitz packages that day.
