I Don't Think That Vrabel Will Draft Hunter At 4

I mean on the Patriots. Sure, there will be 10 amazing rookie WR's all over the NFL, but NEVER on the Patriots. After 25 years of trying and failing, it's just not worth a wasted 1st round pick.
The GOAT HC/GM ain't making the picks this time around.

If we really want Hunter, Vrabel knows the price to get there which would be with his pals in Cleveland.

Think about this if Cleveland wants Carter he could be there at 4. If once Giants lose out on Hunter their backup plan is Sanders.

So Cleveland could theoretically wind up with Carter, Joe Milton, and a second or third and still get their guy.
It's too risky for Cleveland because there's a very real chance the Giants take Carter instead of Sanders at 3, and then they're left with the big amoeba of prospects that we're all fretting about at 4. And because the Browns get Milton in your hypothetical deal they wouldn't be inclined to take Sanders there either. If they're in love with a guy like Jeanty to be Chubb's replacement then I could see it.

Just thinking outside the box.

Vrabel Would have the best chance of landing 2

I don't think the Patriots should select Travis Hunter.

Hunter may fall down the board since he's not necessarily going to fill a gaping hole on a bad team. ...

There are five very good offensive tackles projected to go in the top 40 picks. The Patriots could do a lot with a generous trade, especially if it yields a second round 2 pick in this year's draft.

Or he may climb the board to 2 or 1, depending on the Colorado Pro Day. Let's hope he lays an egg on the Pro Day, but Prime is sure to coach him up.

The thought of Hunter being available at 4, but Patriots taking Campbell would cause a revolt in Patriots Nation...which does not count for much I guess. However the thought of Hunter being available at 4 and the Patriots trading back is not as crazy as it sounds since they could get a boatload of picks for him, probably the 2025 & 2026 firsts and a second....maybe more. I would rather just take Hunter, but ....

Disagree with this completely. Campbell and Membou are better prospects than the rest, and will be the first two off the board. And Vrabel just said Campbell would play left tackle, and Membou should have no problem moving to the left because kids do it all the time. Membou’s RAS score placed him in the top 10 of all tackle prospects since 1987, yet some here keep trotting out the tired old saw that because he played right tackle at 20 years old he is a right tackle for life, regardless of how good an athlete he is.

I wouldn't draft a RT at #4 to move him to LT. That seems stupid. A LT at #4 should be a potential All Pro. Neither Campbell nor Membou are that. They could turn into All Pros, but that isn't their expected ceiling.

Membou has the potential to be a special RT, but he is an unknown at LT. And RTs have less value than LT. You cannot just make a RT a LT no matter how good he is at RT. Some tackles can make the transition. Others cannot.

We may not get within this striking range of drafting a deal difference maker in a long time so we can’t mess it up.

We need to either trade down and build some good role players, or walk away with a potential all pro.

Yes, I know that this is the BS season.
You'll have to explain how you came to your conclusion after listening to what Vrabel said about Hunter yesterday because I didn't interpret it that way AT ALL when I first listened to it yesterday or when I listen to it a second time today.

You are very much either over valuing Joe Milton, or under valuing pick 2.

Realistically the minimum would be 2 for 4,28,39 and Milton. And Cleveland would be dumb to even do that, because they would be passing up one of the only two Blue Chips in the draft and hoping he is there are #4..

Nevermind we would be dumb for doing that because we aren't one player away, we need all those picks to try and have at least a couple contributors come out of the draft...and it would create a need for a backup QB.

Moot point cause if Sanders is saying he’s a Giant he’s a Giant.
That gives us Hunter and then a trade back up in the first for the best left tackle left on our board.

If you want a potential all pro on offense at 4 with Hunter gone
Its Warren or Jeanty
Simple

This is just foolish. He’s 20 years old and one of the most athletic tackles to ever come out of college. Kids that age play RT in college all the time before moving to left tackle. The Caeden Wallace experiment has people afraid that any kid who has played at right tackle is then a right tackle for life, when in fact moving to left tackle is commonplace as kids get older, and Vrabel said as much.

I am not being a smart ass, so don't misunderstand my question. Who's done it currently in the NFL ?

especially in JMD's offense - proven to be a rookie WR killer.
With Brady. His offenses without Brady have not been as option route heavy/all WRs must read the defense the same as the QB and adjust accordingly.

You read too many draft magazines.

How many NFL caliber DBs did this phenom face? What happens when this Colorado sensation gets to the NFL and 1 CB can take him out of the game?

No, I don't read draft magazines at all. I actually coach football. I watch football. I love football. Put the booze down and sober back up to reality. Stop the drunken rambling. You make absolutely no sense. What happens when any college player gets to the league? The good ones find a way to stay. Just shut up already.

I'm not going watch all of these games, or pay for someone to give me the stats, but these are the games he played in this season the featured a CB what will likely play in the NFL next season. From the

Nebraska --- Tommi Hill 10, 110
Central Florida --- Mac McWilliams 9, 89
Kansas State --- Jacob Parrish, 3, 26
Kansas --- Cobee Bryant, Mello Dotson 8, 125

The whole "NFL caliber player" thing is pretty weak anyway, no player is playing every game/snap against guys that will end up in the league....I know I did the numbers once something like 1.5% of college players make the NFL.

Luther Burden - Egbuka -Kyle Williams -Jack Bech - Jalen Royals and Dont'e Thornton just to name a few.

Your disrespect of Elic Ayomanor this cycle has been noted.
(Watch his tape, anyone. Dude absolutely cooked Travis Hunter the whole game)

How many OTHERS have been great at it Tommy?
Almost Everyone here thinks a RT can move to LT.
I Find that stupid and idiotic.
Have fun in your Fantasy.
"Like wiping with your other hand"
