Sombering story of former Pats player/coach Corwin Brown and CTE...

Fortunately the owners first and foremost concern is the health and well being of the players. That’s why they want to go to a 46 game season, plus playoffs, and a week for an offseason rest.

The NFL - Football - wont be around or as we know it 10 years from now.

There is no way to protect the brain inside your head. Enough players will eventually file a class action lawsuit against the NFL for being full aware of the dangers of their sport.

**** man...had no idea. Thanks for sharing....

It's scary how close the Patriots came to having a horrific mass shooting in 2010 that would have changed their future dramatically.

I remember Corwin Brown well.

Brutally sad article. She is so courageous.

NFL denying benefits.....shocking.

Sarcasm?

There are plenty of stories out there of this happening to far too many former players with obvious signs of CTE. The NFL really doesn't care about them. The NFL's feeble effort to establish a fund for those suffering from the damage they sustained playing NFL football seems to have been done solely to prevent them from defaulting on their 2015 court settlement. In reality, they don't want to pay out anything. I'm somewhat surprised that this hasn't gone back to court. The cynic in me thinks that they're just delaying that as long as possible in the hopes that these players all die before they receive a dime from this settlement.

Agree. Yes sarcasm. F-ing d-bags.

I think so, too

It’s an awful story, and far more prevalent than the NFL wants people to believe. I think what the NFL/HOF did in blocking Junior Seau’s daughter from giving his induction speech is and always will be one of the most disgraceful moments in league history.

They had Corwin Brown on the verge of shooting up their locker room, and Aaron Hernandez in it. What a dangerous place to be.

It's at the top of my list...

I know the draft and the season is one big party and show but this league has such a dark, sinister, secret state element to it.

My high school in Michigan went from being a powerhouse in football in the late 1970s (class B championship game in 1976 and 1980) to barely having enough players to field a team and losing 41 straight games. The wealthy parents there just don’t want their sons doing a “dangerous” sport. Stories like this are going to continue the trend.

Never knew about this. I wonder if it can be read online.
