Tali to Denver for 6 years, $57 according to schefter!

Man, Pats just don't want it.
Theoretically speaking, if the Patriots re-signed (bye bye Talib) and Edelman whilst adding any number of players such as Revis (pie in the sky I know), Antonio Smith, Jason Hatcher, Wesley Woodyard, Henry Melton, Emmanuel Sanders or some lesser known "sexy" names but guys who can get the job done would that suffice?

As much as I'd like to see names for implied reputation, I don't particularly care if it's someone such as Alex Carrington who comes to the Pats and makes his name here similar to Mike Vrabel.

Anyone care to recount who the movers and shakers were in day one of FA last year?

I think last year saw Wallace traded to Miami, Plaxico Burress going to Steelers, and some additional names including James Harrison, Adrian Wilson, Nnamdi Asomugha, Dashon Goldson, Anquan Boldin, Cullen Jenkins, Michael Johnson to name a few but those were ones I saw quickly while skimming some threads from around that date:

Filed to ESPN: Denver has reached agreement on a 6-year, $57M deal that includes $26M gtd with former Patriots CB Aqib Talib, per sources.

Consider New England in play for Revis tomorrow? Or Browner?

And now with CB Aqib Talib a Bronco, Patriots figure to make a real push for Darrelle Revis.

****ing hate the Broncos.

Anyway, let them have Talib. I fully expect him to be hurt when they need him the most.

I will gladly take Revis and Browner. Snatch up Woodyard from them too. Maybe Decker at WR but preferably Nicks or Jones.

Cut Wilfork. Trade a future 1st rounder for another this year and double dip in the 1st with a DT and TE.

If we want to compete with the Broncos just to make it to the SuperBowl now, we're going to have to do what the Seahawks and 49ers did by matching each teams' signings.

It better be on now, Bill.

that's just not what the pats do sign top FA's in the first few days they wait and sign what is left at a good deal... we may not like as fans but that is the patriot way

That has got to be one of the stupidest signings I've every heard of. And I've been a huge Talib homer.

Anyone thing that the Pats should have given this deal to Talib? More evidence that the team is cheap?

You've got to be ****ing kidding.....have to get Revis somehow. Absolutely have to.

Wow that was a low blow.
Denver is going all in.
Talib lost to them they ended his season he signs with them.
Disloyal money talks is all I Have to say.
It will be sweet when Denver doesnt even make the playoffs.
Wishful thinking.

I'm kinda looking forward to facing the Broncos in the AFCCG when Talibs hip starts acting up again and Tony Carter is covering Dobson/Person X.

In Bill we trust.
Is Denver cheating the cap again?
LOL.

This had better not be the year that Talib randomly manages to stay healthy.

With that done, I hope the Pats pursue DRC. No way Denver can afford him, and he had a good year for them. Definitely not Talib-good, but he's a good player who stays on the field

Denver is going to be friggin loaded next season....offense is a lot better than ours and their defense is getting much better.

I will take it all In stride and keep the team building in perspective
Will not whine not a troll found this website back in 7th grade detention fell in love with it then reaching out to fellow Pats fans who have more knowledge of the team and game then myself.
Love my Patriots wear my gear in Eagle and Steelers country.
Just want to see Bill lift the Lombardi again while he still is the head coach.
Sorry for the whining I'm Bill we trust.

Always good to see a young fan getting involved and props to you for carrying the banner in enemy territory!

LOL.

We can try to steal Decker as payback? ..

Anyhow, that deal that Talib got is asinine. If he didn't have the chronic hip issue, maybe I'd be apoplectic, but I can't get too mad at Bill for not matching it.....so long as he's got a backup plan beyond "Trust Logan Ryan".

I guess Talib won't have to settle for that $5m per year Patriots deal that so many were pushing in another thread, huh?
