Steelers would trade Pickens if a strong offer presents itself.
Per Schefter
Watch out for Pats and Bills.
I wouldn’t rule it out.
I know a lot of the people on this boards head would explode.
I really hope GP says to his agent do I want to stay here, and be wasted with no QB or go to NE with maye daye...

True, but Bradbury is much smaller and weaker than Strange. If Strange is getting push around then Bradbury will be worse. The Pats have lined up two guys with high mobility to play Center.
In all actuality I don't think any of our C are up for the challenge of our own DL.. they will be a absolute menenace for opposing OL.. but I see your point. Someone is going to have to play C and I'm just saying.. it will come down to who plays the Position with the best technique and snap accuracy.

Steve’s head the first to explode in this scenario.
But I think it’s more likely we trade for AJ, and Eagles nab Pickens and keep rolling.
There's no way they are gonna trade for Pickens. Vrabel has said he wants football character guys. That doesn't mean the dude has to be an eagle scout, but it means he will have to sustain a stalk block in the run game besides being a punk-ass and hitting hitting a DB and then running for cover.

I am all set with that guy. All. Freakin. Set.

Washington didn’t need time to jell last year, Houston the year before.
If they have talent and are well coached they will win. How many of them were here last year is an irrelevant factor. Just one of those things people say to hedge an opinion.

Houston had a load of draft picks from the Watson trade to infuse talent quickly. The Patriots don’t have that.

I don't know where the rumor comes from and I don't buy it nor do I really want it. Just take Carter if he's there anyway.
I think Vrabel will definitely..if here's there.. or let me ask? Do we try to do something with the Giants if they take him?

Why I think they will at least Explore the possibility.

I think Boutte is going to surprise you. Don't know how you could knock him with a Amateur OC last year. I can't even begin to imagine how he'll perform with a Real OC this year.

Interesting... or.. we get some production from polk and he carves out a role In The rotation.. ?? KB meaning Kendrick Bourne
Right all things equal you have to believe Polk has the highest ceiling (or the guy who drafted him should be fired)

Houston had a load of draft picks from the Watson trade to infuse talent quickly. The Patriots don’t have that.
From 2020-2023 they had 4 first round picks in 4 years. 4 seconds and 5 3rds.
Without trades we will have had 4 1s, 4 2s and 5 3s over the last 4 years.

I’m not sure how you consider his production as a starting wr last year anything but disappointing
WR1 and WR2 should be guys capable of catching 80 passes for 1000 yards or coming close. Boutte wasn’t close to that, and had many games where he was completely invisible.

And again the point in question was “you need time to jell” so can’t win with roster turnover

We'll just have to agree to disagree: I would say the disappointing guy last year was Pop Douglas. 621yds coming off a 561 Rookie season is disappointing in my book. I think Boutte have a Higher ceiling than Bourne - Polk - Baker and Hollins combined.

Time to jell to me means time to build a team. Unless you have a ton of picks, it takes years in most cases.

This is fake news misinterpreting Vrabels comments.
Not really:

On with David Andrews and considering the scheme going back to Josh McDaniels, since he's been in it, why not give him the opportunity to see if he could come back and earn a spot on that team:

"We felt like that was best decision for us. We thank David for his contributions and what he's done. I thought it was best for our football team that we move on, and we're excited about the guys that we got up front. We're able to add Garrett Bradbury, and Cole [Strange]'s worked hard at center the last couple of weeks of the season, which he did and played there, and it was pretty impressive, considering he hadn't spent a bunch of time there."

On if he'll keep Cole Strange at center and if that's the plan:

"I mean, I think he'll work on the interior three, but I think to give him an opportunity to compete at center and build off of what he did at the end of last year."

Maybe saying, "Strange will most likely be staying at Center," is a bridge too far, but it certainly sounds like the possibility is there for him to stay at center. So it's not necessarily "fake news."

Schefter reported that despite rumors to the contrary the Eagles have no interest in trading AJ Brown
