Don't really feel like making a new thread for an idea, but instead of Sproles, how about taking a flyer on Darren McFadden, he's a do it all back, AP like strength/speed combination, should be pretty cheap.

I'd love to give him a chance to revitalize his career here. We have better QB play, better run blocking, we can spread the field out better than Oakland ever could.

I feel like he'd be a great fit in the hurryup offense. Vereen and McFadden on each side of Brady in the shotgun on 3rd downs.. I'd like to try it.

McFadden is still a huge upgrade over Bolden even with his injury history, especially as a receiving back.

The Broncos should do this (hope they don't).

Agree with Brady 2 Moss, no real room. We don't have the luxury of spending 3-4 million on a RB when we can ride Ridley/Vereen in their last year.

If he somehow came at the 1-2 million a year range, I'd be down for it though.

Many of these RBs would fit in just fine (assuming they stay healthy like ACQB said), but my concern is that the money they will demand just won't equal any kind of value for us.

I'd have a hard time imagining Belichick paying Darren McFadden 3+ million per year, or whatever it'd come out to be. I think the same goes with guys like Sproles, Tate, etc, although the prices will obviously change with other players.

Out of all of the RBs, I'd like Ben Tate myself. I think someone pays him 4m + per year though.

As one source who has been actively working the phones throughout the day told PFT on Saturday night, there’s currently no market for running backs.

Probably a good sign as far as re-signing Blount, I'd say.

We don't know who is linked to Talib, his agent's haven't leaked anything. It's 100% speculation, the Redskins are only considered a "suitor" because they have the Raheem Morris connection and went after him last year.
