Draft Game... Comment Thread

So we're just gonna give GB, Porter? Sounds good to me since that pick was by vote as well. The level of participation in this draft has certainly gone down all of a sudden. Hopefully we can get through this round at least.

Been away for a couple of days so whats the drafting order now and who's on the clock? Last thing I read was no one picks unless they were Patsfan55 so are we ready to move on now? I guess an updated picks list will help.

Yeah I hope we finish this round also.

I think that it is pretty ironic that we now have to vote for patsfan55 & Green Bay. It has been 20 hrs since I sent him the PM. With a DT & CB chosen they could basically go best available IMO. Sub- package receiver, 3rd down back, Guard, LB, you could even go w/ Henne as a developmental QB...

saw no pm
sorry, havent been on here much the last week, crazy week at work, then i got sick, just went on and made the pick for 60, good call on henne
as for porter, i did wanna take a db, but im just not so sure he fits the mold they like, as they like their guys to be able to bump at the line, but ill keep it, it's arite

Yeah! Dallas is up (LloydBraun). Let's get moving again.

That would be?:
1- Doucet
2- Caldwell
If so, I'll make your choices. In the future you should PM choices so that you don't show your hand... Feel free (since I pick 10 spots ahead of you) to send them to me.
Jim
From this previous post I'm going to post LloydBrauns selection of Doucet. MavFan is up with the Patriots selection!
edit: lloydBraun was online and made the selection himself. Cool.

Sorry, Mavsfan, but picking Curtis Lofton and likening him to Demeco Ryans is just sad. Ryans is MUCH FASTER and more AGILE than Lofton. Lofton is slow-footed and going to be a liability against the pass. He may be good against the run, but he's not a run stuffer. Lofton also doesn't have great explosion or leg strength.

Its laughable when a 300 lb Offensive lineman can run the short shuttle and the 3 cone faster than Lofton can.

I'm sorry, but Curtis Lofton to the pats is nothing short of a horrible pick.

I'm sending a PM to Mavfan2390 and SamBamsFan to make my third round selection because I will not be online until very late in the evening. So by that time maybe the St. Louis Rams pick will be off the board. Thanks in advance.

I selected Caldwell, Wr, for broadwayjoe.
Next picks (3rd round):

5. (68) Atlanta?
6.(69) New England (from Oakland)?
7. (70) Chicago?
8. (71) Buffalo (from Baltimore)?
9. (72) Jacksonville (from Buffalo)?
10. (73) Minnesota (from Denver)?

Sure. Send it over to me. I'll be working out of my house today/ tomorrow. [email protected].
I'm not sure if this has been discussed but the Comp picks come out tomorrow, or wednesday. Do you want to add them to the draft? We should answer before they come out, just in fairness.

we should include them, but what's the highest they could be? Late 3rd round?

Yes, they would begin @ the end of the third round.

ok so if we get to the end of the 3rd round before the compensation picks have been announced then we'll just stop until they have been.

I think the compensation picks may get announced today at the meetings.

I liked Dre Moore, for the Falcons after the top Three DT's went. The other DT all had Chararter Problems, which is something I think the falcons didn't need.

He has all the physical tools needed to do the job, He is still raw and will need work.

Not a fan of the Patriots pick. I'd rather go for another position then a backup TE. I know about the Watson injury, he'll be fine come Training Camp, but I'm also a big David Thomas fan. I rather just sign a backup TE then draft one in the 3rd Round. I wouldn't of mind seeing Kellen Davis, cause he could play OLB for us as well.

Because of the Commish penalty on tampering (w/ SF 49's), Chicago has the next pick.

I'm fine with the Patriots pick. Both Thomas and Watson have injury issues every year, and in 2 years they are both FA. We need to groom a potential replacement now, and if they have good blocking skills they can play right away in place of Brady

Selected Jordy Nelson. What do you think of him?
