On to the next subject-
It has been 5 hours since the last pick, and apparently the guy picking for the Browns hasn't been on for days...

Are we thinking LB here?

LB, CB, or DE. S, too.

Justin King? or Lawrence Jackson.

Ok, now the only question I have is should I take BPA or go for a need? The problem is that I don't like the value at what I consider to be a big area of need. Who'd be a GM?

1- Porter
2- Jackson
3- Godfrey

These are the best available (in positions of need) IMO. Hope this doesn't screw you up gomezcat.

I always lean towards best talent. Let the opponents figure it out...

I'll vote Chevis Jackson

Porter for me.

porter too

I have no problem with Johnson in the 2nd round. Just feel there are better options. Also this is a forum to discuss others picks. That's the fun of it. I have no problem someone questioning my picks.

Aren't people also free to disagree with your characterization of it without having their pick labeled as dumb. You haven't sufficiently made your case that Johnson is not a fit for the Titans roster, even at that pick. It's been well documented here the various things he brings to the game, and I think there's undeniable value there for any team. I think especially paired with VY he would prove to be a very effective player.

You're free to question his pick, but to call it dumb and then to out-and-out ignore the evidence he provides for why it made sense is silly.

Anyways, on to other things..

Count my vote for Porter as well

Actually the Patriots drafted Kevin Faulk to be there starter.

I would rather draft Dre Moore in the 2nd round. There will still be plently of RB's in the later rounds. And for my return man that you claim they need so badly you can add Dexter Jackson in round 4. Who could fill your need as a WR which they need, but also a excellent return man. That fills two holes with one pick. There wideouts are awful. Dexter Jackson is someone who you can grab in Round 4 that can be a terrific slot reciever and an excellent return man. That would be good value with the pick. And for your 3rd down RB you can add Thomas Brown in Round 6. Another back who I like that can really catch would be Andre Callender who probably will go undrafted. He has excellent hands. I believe Dre Moore would be a more effective pick for the Titans then Chris Johnson.

First of all, learn to read. I said people, meaning the fans not Booby Grier and Pete Carroll, knew that Faulk wasn't capable of being the starting RB.

I don't believe that Moore is better value than Johnson . I have Moore rated out as a 3rd round pick. Meaning taking him NOW would be reaching for him.

The Titans receivers are hardly horrible. And Fisher clearly didn't think so since he passed on guys like Bryant Johnson, DJ Hackett, and several other good receivers who were available.

Dexter Jackson COULD have worked, but he'd have been the 5th WR. I'd rather ensure the RB depth, which is more important in their offense right now.

Thomas Brown: Injury Red Flag. Hasn't been able to stay healthy for the past 2 years. Not on my board.

Andre Callender: He's a UDFA value. Doesn't have the kick return or punt return abilities that Johnson does.

Once someone has decided to pick Tracy Porter for the Browns, which is where it seems to be headed, can I have Tony Hills, OT, Texas, please? I'm off to bed now. Cheers.

I concur for Tracy Porter.

NEXT!

By consensus vote Tracy Porter to the Browns. I also selected Tony Hills, OT , Texas for Miami (gomezcat), according to his wishes. Jacksonville is up!

If I miss the Dallas pick, I want the next big WR:

Doucet or Caldwell.

That would be?:
1- Doucet
2- Caldwell
If so, I'll make your choices. In the future you should PM choices so that you don't show your hand... Feel free (since I pick 10 spots ahead of you) to send them to me.

Sounds good. I hope to be around to pick, but I will be away from the comp. for most of the day tomorrow.

If anybody reads this:

I wanted Cason at #40. When he was gone, it was between Mayo and Smith. I preferred Mayo but went with Smith.

My question is whether or not Smith was even on anybodies radar for the second round and if I could have snagged him in the third.

Thanks.
