"Browns owner Jimmy Haslam also said he’d make the trade again and that they strongly believe Watson deserves a chance to “rehabilitate himself” as a member of the team. Watson continued to maintain his innocence at his own press conference on Thursday, which calls into question whether that’s something the quarterback has any interest in doing in the days, weeks, months, and years to come."

Absolutelty tone deaf ownership IMO.

That kind of points out one more reason why he really is a sick fuk. What he did deserved a swift punch to the junk, if not a stab, but massage therapists are healers so that's about the last thing they'd do. He could have just found himself a prostitute (or 43), but it's clear the lack of consent is one thing that he got off on.
Exactly.
I watched an interview with a sexual predator/serial killer. He told the psychiatrists he killed his victims so he wouldn't get caught. The commentator said that was BS. He killed his victims because that's how he got off.

Was talking to someone who works in the NYC crypto industry who recently returned from a bachelor's party in Costa Rica.
A development in the bachelor party industry apparently is renting all-inclusive villas in Costa Rica that come with turn-key hookers.
As the story goes, the financial geek's villa was next to a villa filled with NFL players from a NFC North team.....and in a moment of neighborly hospitality, the NFLers invited the crypto geeks over to booze and see first-hand the off-field world of NFL stars up close and in action.
(A couple of big names I might add)

Anyway, no word if Roger's "investigators" are honing in on this group or if he only targets paid-in-full US masseuses unaffiliated with geriatric owners.
I've heard similar stories. As a labourer before university I met a guy who was the biggest Eli Manning fan because Eli would hire him every year to work on his summer hooker cruises.

The thing no one is bringing into the discussion is now that it's clear the player is in denial, what are the odds of him doing it again, despite him being told he can only use team-approved massage therapists? Or it can escalate to even worse behavior?

He has this strong pattern of behavior and now sees there are only minor ramifications for his actions. He'll be watched a lot more closely, which means his urges will be more difficult to address, which means he'll be even more motivated to push the issue any chance he gets. This could end up being a lot more ugly than it already is.

NFL and CLE think they're dodging a bullet, but I think the root cause isn't being addressed so I think there will be future incidents that will occur that will be even harder to address than this one.

“Watson is very sorry that the graphic details contained within the completely false allegations leveled against him may have upset the delicate sensibilities of women all over the world who were exposed to such duplicitous falsehoods in the news coverage.” - basically the NFL, NFLPA, Browns, Watson’s agent, and Watson himself.

"He issued a statement" -- what a joke.

The Browns PR department issued a statement.

He issued more than onto a massage therapist.

Its' their QB crying its' their QB.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a PR press release debunked in real time by the person who allegedly wrote said PR press release but here we are.

This strategy works, if and only if you assume he doesn't do it again, or does something worse...

Is it 6 or 11 Games?? That Browns game is definitely a Win yess!

Browns fans after the recent ruling.

The NFL has discovered - perhaps inadvertently - a new form of the news cycle. Normally controversial news gets released on Fridays, but now I think the best thing for a sports league to do is announce bad news during the LLWS because that's all that ESPN shows and talks about during the month of August.
