Man, sorry Demaryius. Um, nothing personal. Eh, good luck with the football thing. Er, New Jersey is pretty nice I've heard.

Seriously? He's in a come back year, trying to justify one last decent contract. To do that, he needs to get on the field, put up some numbers, and be valuable to a team. The Pats have at least four receivers solidly ahead of him on the depth chart, plus two rookies they'll want to give playing time to.
What could be better than going to a team on a one year contract where you are reunited with a coach who knows how to use you and has seen the best of you, on a team where you have a chance to play into a starting role? Why is that worse than what he faced from the Pats' bench and inactive list, week after week?
I see this as Belichick once again being a players' coach. Thomas came on good faith, then circumstances put a limit on his opportunity. The Pats responded by putting him in the best position possible to be successful, even though it is strengthening a rival.
You trade for the highest return ...Why. The. Hell . Are. We. Making. Trades. With. Them
More likely an OL,, Bodine, Skipper or an outsider, Croston?so Obi is coming back?
Well I'm guessing Thuney and Cunningham are OT options as well as Elumeanor, with Skipper as option #4. Bodine being back will add to the OG depth as well as a back up for C. Now you can release Ferentz and create a rosters spot for Obi, or just leave it open for now.'
Can you think of an immediate need for that 53rd slot if they release Ferrentz

BB must figure he's done.Why. The. Hell . Are. We. Making. Trades. With. Them
Only one week ago he was probably told that he was needed on the team and then he semi-kinda did the team a favor by re-signing after being cut.
Offseason is one thing, after the pre-season after showing SOME wheels is anotherFavor ? He got a 300k salary bump for agreeing to stay off the roster for 2-3 days after openly saying there was no interest in him at all this offseason except from the Pats.
There was no favor at all.
I'll fix that for you:
Jete trade makes me feel very unclean...
I don't disagree but competent swing tackles aren't a dime a dozen.#52 - Bodine
#53 - a veteran swing OT
=== . I say Skipper because, I would like to see a veteran OT added. Cunningham seems an OK #4 OT. I would prefer a veteran as the swing OT for the season.
If it's Meyers vs Thomas, i'd rather have Meyers.
I agree. He'd be a luxury right now. About the only role I can see him improving is PERHAPS KO coverage. All I know is that after Obi passed waivers there is no reason at all to elevate him to the active roster unless someone goes down. It doesn't look like anyone will try to sign him off the PS any time soon and even if they do the Pats can always try to sweeten his deal to keep him there (or sign him to the active roster if they feel that strongly).
I don't think BB would mess with core ST over saving somewhere between 1-2M. Remember you'd have to still put someone onto the active roster at the minimum (1.2m ?).
Unless you mean for Harry who is already accounted for ? But even then not sure this is worth it.
