Wow! Fleabassist, I have to tell you, I was really impressed with Undying. As an old fogey, I have to admit, I had to google the song lyrics, which are actually quite beautiful.
Thanks for sharing that. My church is a quite a rare place, where scripture is not compromised but where there is a real commitment to being Real, Relevant, and Revolutionary in how church isnt full of religious staleness. I know a lot of our teenagers listen to this kind of music. We're kind of a jeans and sweatsirt type of place. Our Pastor is a former youth leader and still only 38 and our worship leader leads an amazing Christian Rock band. But hes also the youth leader and I can just picture our teens at their Wednesday night meeting in our barn playing this on the DVD.

The last song is closer to my own personal tastes but ias you've probably seen from what i usually post, while im non-traditional to be sure, i only go so far. haha. im still from the Beatles generation after all.

Have you heard of Switchfoot? they are kind of in between what i listen to and Pillar, i think. I wish their lyrics were more clearly Christian, but their music is great.

Yes; iv heard of switchfoot. I am not big on them.

I thought you would enjoy those songs... killswitch engage is my favorite band - they are not a "Christian" band persay, but their old singer (the one in that video) was a die hard christian - and most of their old song lyrics resembled ideals of the christian religion. Their new music is not as overly christian, however there are still notable references here and there.


Underoath is an awsome christian band, but I am not big on them. They are ... a little too "emo screamy" for me.

Yeah, that song the gauntlet reminds me of tool.


The lyrics are very good, although it seems like it's forced rhymed. The chorus is esp. powerful, I think. I like the guitar slumps on the pre chorus.


This song is overly christian. I don't like it at all, it is WAY to forced for me... I like it when it's not shoving it in your face. For instance, the first seven words are "I just know jesus is the way" LOL
