Yeah, Pietro has 42 STA, and Kazenzakis has 45, and they both use about 30 energy per game. It's pretty beastly. Just took Tobias off ST. And now our top 3 corners are level 16, 16, 17.

Next season, I think we ought to stagger our boosting, btw. I like this late-season surge we're getting. Personally, I think I'm going to avoid boosting my guys until later in the season. As long as we get into the playoffs, it'll be better that way.

actually our top 3 cb's are 17,17,16....

and our SS is 17, and our FS is 16

talk about a hell of a secondary

Wow, I agree! Let's take a couple deep shots on those guys and see if their CBs can run with us! Their most dangerous players are their RBs, so if we can shut down their run game, we should be ok. 34 TDs and over 2,500 yards of offense between the two of them.

A couple observations:

Canberra has no major weaknesses.

With most of the other teams that we've played against, they've had at least one major weakess. Even the Bandits were starting levels 13 and under at FB and both OLBs. Canberra really doesn't have a glaring weakness. Every starter is at least a 14, and most are higher. That said, we do have notable advantages in a lot of areas, and if we can leverage our advantavges well, I think we'll win.

Their WR are good, but our CBs are better.

Vernon, Pietro, and Cason have shut down better WRs than their pair of 15s. Also, they're going with a level 14 QB, and Tobias has the attributes to basically be another CB on the field in terms of range, who just happens to put three or four guys per game in the hospital as well.

Their defensive line may be a vulnerability

Don't get me wrong, two 14s and two 15s isn't a bad starting DL, but it's the closest thing that they have to a real liability. Bodes well for Maroney having his standard dominating performance.

Their OL will be slightly overmatched

They have four 15s and a 16 on the DL. Once again, not bad. But our DL is starting all 16s. But the difference will hopefully be greater than that. Our DL has been playing above its level all season, putting up some very good performances against OLs that were the same or higher level than they were. With Pio up to 16 now, though, I see us having the potential to dominate the line of scrimimagfe defensively against a lot of our opponents.

Our QB/Receivers are better than their secondary

Long passes here and there might be really effective in this game. Their CBs are 14 and 15, and their safeties are 15 and 16. Steamer, Welker, and Walsh will hopefully be too much talent/depth for them to handle.

We won. Vernon Barkley came up with ANOTHER INT. What a freak!

holy **** I ******* Rodney'd their final drive

that's literally the play i created tobias funke to make

i'm retiring him now

Hell yeah guys. Nice win. Grats Tobias on the clutch play.

On a side note, I gotta take Pietro and Kazenzakis off ST for the Tongan game. He's down to 61 STA. Anyone else with high speed willing to jump in and take his place for one game, and replicate http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=4290326 ? It might be useful to start a rotation where we have 2-3 high-caliber starters per game strengthening up the kickoff and punt squads, but rotate them out before their stamina can take too much of a beating.

BTW, is this the best punt ever or what?

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=4289290

Also, with the sequence that starts with this play: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=4289669 I think we can be pretty certain now that about 75% of Maximoff's tackles come against the run. Odd for a CB.

I will. I'm at 67 right now but I'm training 18/15 so I'll be at 100. I don't mind being off STs if Pietro is on it, but if he's not I probably should be.

I just boosted my STA back up when I leveled, anyways.

Man they sold out to stop the run pretty obviously. That was a brutal game for rushing.

Still a win is a win. Dunno why we were ranked below the Bandits last week but we're back up to #1 in our division.

Win one more game and we've got HFA and that means HUGE money for us. Enough so that we can probably build 3 additions to the stadium.

Oh before I forget I had us set for 0% short passes and all med-long passes. We stayed at 0% blitz. I set the run for 55/45% wise, but I think what screwed them at the end is that we set it for auto tactics change which a lot of owners are eschewing.

So they sold out against the run which would have put a hurting on us since we went into the game a little run heavy but the auto adjust kicked in and we started passing like crazy.

Sweet, nice win guys. I got my first tackle .

Also, how do I get some more cash? I can't afford training.

There's a thread for it on the team forums, I believe. "New Contract Request" thread, or something like that.

Otherwise, good game people. The next one'll be tough; the Crimson Auha is a very good team, though it look like we match up well against them at first glance. I'm pretty limited today timewise, so I can't look it up in depth, though.

Oh, and our cornerbacks are freaks.

IMO, we probably have the best secondary in Oceania. Tobias, Vernon, Pietro, Brandon, and College = crazy depth.

Along those lines, I just put in some energy-based advanced subbing for cornerback, so that College can get some more snaps and leave Pietro and Vernon with more energy to fulfill their special teams roles

BTW, how about this for a drive-killer: http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?pbp_id=4292088 . 1.5 yard loss on 3rd and inches = pwned.

Honestly one of my favorite parts of our team is how well we "make do" with lower-level guys like Chris Slay and Brandon Weather, who obviously have great builds, get matched up against way higher-level players, and still tear **** up.

Definitely, though weather is 16 now. At this point, our lowest levels are 13, and that's just Slay and Manchild.

Also, anyone have high stamina and speed, who will be starting the upcoming game with 100 energy? We need to get some gunners in on ST to win the field position battle. I had to pull Maximoff for one game, so that he can be up to full energy for the playoffs, but I don't want to leave a void on ST that could cost us the game.

Along the same lines, how are Cason and Cav Trooper doing for stamina? Do you need to be pulled from ST to have enough energy to start fresh for the playoffs?

I said you can put me back on STs. I'll be at 100 and I just put points back into STA.

A good thing too. 1 yard per rush was not going to get us far this game. We've got a pretty deep receiver corps to pass when we want to as well.
What I couldn't understand was why they kept doubling Steamer and leaving Wesley wide open. I mean he's our #1 receiver and they were giving him single coverage most of the game. They deserved to get gashed for being that stupid!

speaking of welker he can do some speacial teams this game... I will have him at 100%, his stamina rating is around 30. But we also have great depth at WR, so I'm not worried of a production drop or anything

I wouldn't mind being on kickoffs. My boy Slay goes into every game with 95-100 energy.
