I know we won't get any info from the team - that is a given.

But the injury against the Colts did not appear to be substantial. He walked off and was pacing the sidelines helmet in hand.

Since then we haven't heard about him having a limp and there are reports that he's been seen with no cast each week.

Does anyone have any sort of guess on what sort of injury this could be? High ankle sprain?

If you don't like baseless speculation this probably isn't the thread for you.

sprained ankle.....haven't heard if its upper or lower. For some reason i think its a lower ankle sprain.

I got nuttin

Knew they didn't need him against the Jets so gave him a rest and will probably be down as "questionable" all week?

EDIT: ^ Or not, didn't look like anything at all so surprised it's a high ankle sprain.

After Hernandez was set back by coming back to soon, my guess is the Pats will err on the side of caution when it comes to Jones returning to the field.

I got this from Belichick......... He's day to day.

Ankles are one of the most nagging injuries to deal with. Best to just let it heal fully.

We need this kid to be 100% healthy for the stretch run and playoffs.

Get some rest, CJ.

Not meaning to give you a hard time but this is a pet peeve of mine.
Do you really think that one player reinjuirng himself after coming back would change the entire philosophy the team has toward injuries?

Why not? It's possible. Each new observation impacts the forecast.

Well thats my point, they aren't flyiong bty the seat of their pants. They have a procedure for dealing with ankle injuries based on hundreds of them. The reaction of one player to his recovery isn't going to alter a philosophy developed over years and years.

I think we can afford to let him miss the game against the Dolphins this weekend. Hopefully he can go for the showdown at Gillette though.

With Cunningham out also who and Nicko fills the pass rushing void?

I guess it will be up to Trevor Scott to hit the Dolphins and cause a few fumbles in the process. :rocker:

I have no problem with Ninko RUSHING the passer...it's the actually TACKLING the QB that that seems hard for him. (one on one)
