Reading the Tea Leaves on Mayo and Wolf (Personal Speculation)

They needed a QB, it was the Pat’s #1 need and they had the third overall pick… he would have taken a QB or he’d probably never have that opportunity again. He’s no fool.

Harbaugh had Justin Herbert, that’s why he took Alt… protect the franchise. He would have built a better offensive line this season around Maye or McCarthy, would have signed better free agents, drafted better.

The Pats could have traded back and still gotten a QB while ALSO adding a LT. Instead, fans were subjected to a worse season and Mayo was a sacrifice for Wolf's incompetence and the Krafts having forgotten the lessons that BB taught them after the Pete Carroll fiasco.

People are ignoring the fact that WOLF was the guy at the top of the Personnel department since 2023. Wolf has as much responsibility for the 2023 draft as BB.


Mayo shares plenty of blame for this year, but WOLF should be out as well.

Personal speculation… Van Pelt will get sacrificed so the Krafts can save face and give the appearance they’re making improvements.

It won’t fix anything…

I didn't like the Van Pelt hire. I wanted one of the OCs from College. Van Pelt might make a good Passing game coordinator, but he's not OC material. He just didn't get how to properly mix the play-calling and how to stick with what was working.

I didn't like the changes that MAYO made coming and had a feeling that it wouldn't be a good outcome when all was said and done.

Unless the Jonathan axes Wolf, we're in for more Blind Squirrel Ineptitude for the foreseeable future.

Have never been convinced that this disastrous season was all on Mayo, Wolf and his crew did a crappy job of finding talent for our O line... and the drafting of Polk & Baker was K'Neal Harry part II...
The defensive talent was mediocre as most of the front 7 were role players or back ups forced to play as first teamers..
Have never heard who was advising Mayo from the Press Box.. certainly was not an Ernie Adams clone.
