Cannon to IR

Because Vollmer was such a pillar of durability at RT

I didn’t say he was. My point is we haven’t nailed down that RT spot with someone who can reliably be in the lineup. Don’t get me wrong, Cannon is a good player.

They need to win on Sunday. I feel better about this offensive line if they're playing at home. On the road and it will be a different story.

The thing that gets swept under the rug though is that we used considerably fewer chips and TEs staying in for blocking in the first couple of games with Cannon at RT than we were using in the last two games with Fleming there.

The cost of doing that are fewer receiving options out in patterns. So there is a certain tradeoff...

Fleming didn't stop Gronk from having a borderline career day against the jills last week.

Have you people that keep spouting this narrative even watched Fleming when he's started the last 2 years?

I remember all the talk about how Fleming was gonna get eating alive by Chandler Jones last year. Jones was held in check outside of one sack that Garropolo ran himself into

And now the last 2 weeks Fleming has played solid as well. Did Wake even get a hand on Brady going against Fleming?
I've watched him get cut twice and brought back only when injuries became an issue. It's kinda hard for me to believe it would have played out that way if he's as good as your post seems to suggest. And as far as the past two weeks, he's had help and plenty of it.

And lets not forget Antonio Garcia, who's missed the entire ****ing season with a "non-football illness"...wtf is that? Typhus? Leprosy? Cancer? This team has caught zero ****ing breaks with injuries...14 guys on IR, I wonder what the record is for players placed on IR...

What were those two times he has been cut? September 6, 2015, and...?

If Fleming or Waddle go down at the least they'll be forced to rotate in players playing out of position and at the worst will have to sign street FA or practice squad scrubs
So in other words we are at least 3 injuries away at one position from putting street fire agents out there 13 weeks into the season.
Which make sense because we have lost a grand total of 1 player at the position.

The injuries are definitely piling up on IR...

Edelman
Hightower
Ebner
Cannon
Bennett
Mitchell
Rivers
Valentine
CJones
Garcia
McClellin

In other news, apparently the injury to Branch wasn't too serious.

Well, "not too serious" might be in the eye of the beholder. Clearly right now they think he has a chance of coming back this year at some point. But the RJF resigning (conbined with his missing practice today) indicates it'll be unlikely he'll play this week at the very least.

If the 2011 Packers can win the Superbowl with the mass amount of injuries they had, why can't we??
