Cannon to IR

With Mason and Cannon, I thought we had one of the best Right side O-lines in the game.... Definitely we're not as good of a team with Cannon in the line up but I don't think it's a crippling loss either.

****!!!!

"LaAdrian Waddle was claimed off waivers from Detroit and awarded to the New England Patriots on Dec. 16, 2015"

All we need to do is repeat that this week and we have some depth.

Dude when healthy Cannon is a legit Top5 RT in the league.
Remember, some posters here really dont follow the team or football in general. So its just easy to say each player is not good enough or sucks or whatever than actually being an intelligent contributor to the forum.

Of course, he was still recovering from a serious knee injury at the time. Much better player today.

If the 2011 Packers can win the Superbowl with the mass amount of injuries they had, why can't we??

We definitely had more injuries in 2003, probably 2004 too.

Yeah, he barely got in there. They could stand to find veteran depth is my point, though.

Er....this is going to be a problem since SD, Jags, and Ravens all have pass rushers.

The bodies keep falling. Losing Cannon is a big blow. Waddle has looked good when healthy and Fleming, IMHO, is an adequate backup. Can't afford to lose many more o-linemen. The word I hear is the breakdown is coming right up the middle with Thuney and Andrews. I hope BB drafts a bigger center as I have heard Andrews is susceptible to big bull rushers. There are several good ones in the upcoming draft who could also fill in at G. Odd that, with Branch down, BB didn't activate Valentine (unless he is not eligible to come off IR yet). Also, hope that Van Noy is ready at LB with Freeney cut. I suppose Britt will be the backup PR/KR for Dola and Lewis respectively. A lot of patchwork being done now to fill holes. Hope they hold together long enough to get the #1 seed in the playoffs.

Very bad news....where I think we will struggle against the squealers and into the playoffs is the weakness of the Offensive Line... if they cant open the holes obviously running game is non existent.....but the bigger issue is keeping TFB upright, healthy AND GIVING him time to throw!!! As all teams know now you get a lot of pressure on Brady and the Pats O will fizzle....I expect Pitt to blitz constantly and rattle Tom....and shut down running game....going to be a tough one
Freeny, Reedy released.

That's why it's critical to get that number 1 seed and play at home. I think on the road this line could struggle with communication problems.

Tough blow. Somehow still have more faith in Flemming/Waddle holding down the RT than some of the issues elsewhere on the line (excluding Mason).

Do forget Waddle was hurt when the Patriots claimed him. It was a shoulder IIRC. He played well down the stretch that year all things considered but not as well as he's played this year.

at least waddle has been pretty good for the patriots this year.

You're on to something (gdt ) ....

3 Goats, Brady, Bill & Gronk. Mason & Cannon are top 5-10 at their respective positions. Very good secondary. And Hightower is a top 5 LB.

Point is we're loaded but most only see our mistakes bc they don't watch other teams and see how ****ty they are.

GDT knee jerkers should be clockwork orange'd to watching Rod Rust teams.

I feel are weakness is running behind the center up the gut.
Our Tightends not named Gronk.
Our pass rushing specialists.
Linebackers out in space.
Those are the spots on tbe team where we are most vulnerable.

ok, but when healthy is the key. he's missed 23% of all regular season games in his career. In contrast Nate Solder has missed about 16%.
