The pressure remains on for New England Patriots quarterback Cam Newton this offseason as he looks to retain the teams starter at the position for a second consecutive season.
With first round draft pick Mac Jones waiting for his opportunity and already impressing during minicamp last month, Newton can’t afford a slow start this fall.
Last week, Newton shared another, albeit brief look into his offseason program, and even brought along teammates Jonnu Smith and Jakobi Meyers to the session.
“Work In Silence”, Newton wrote in an accompanying caption to a video that just shows the trio doing some light running.
Although there isn’t much new to gather from this latest video, its clear Newton is continuing to use every opportunity he can to build connections with his teammates on offense before the start of training camp in an effort to get any leg up he can over the other quarterbacks.
Will the extra time pay off? Time will only tell.
