An interesting note on this Thursday afternoon. ESPNBoston.com's Mike Reiss held his weekly chat a couple of hours ago, and revealed an interesting fact.
Patriots linebacker Eric Moore, who has been getting a lot of the first team snaps so far this training camp, is apparently taking additional steps to try not to 'jinx' his chances of making the roster.
According to Reiss Moore has opted to spend his time living out of a hotel room instead of looking for a permanent residence until he actually makes the roster. Moore's off to a good start so far, and he appears to be doing all the right things where it looks like he's going to need one. He's seen plenty of time through two games, with Reiss reporting recently that he was in 22 of 37 first half snaps against Jacksonville, and 17 of 31 first half snaps last week against Tampa Bay.
In the chat, Reiss predicted a defensive line-up of LDE Eric Moore/Shaun Ellis; DT Vince Wilfork; DT Albert Haynesworth; RDE Andre Carter when the season starts.
Moore was signed by the Patriots as a free agent on December 3, 2010, and appeared in 4 games with 3 starts last season. He finished last season with 14 tackles with 9 solo and 5 assists, as well as 2 sacks, 1 pass defensed, 2 forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery.
