Cannon to IR

so having to turn to Fleming for significant minutes won't be good

Have you people that keep spouting this narrative even watched Fleming when he's started the last 2 years?

I remember all the talk about how Fleming was gonna get eating alive by Chandler Jones last year. Jones was held in check outside of one sack that Garropolo ran himself into

And now the last 2 weeks Fleming has played solid as well. Did Wake even get a hand on Brady going against Fleming?

The offensive line hasn't been terrible without him but it still sucks. That's why it's important to nab home field advantage in the playoffs. Communication much better at home.

cannon f'IRed. time to re-load.
.

In other news, apparently the injury to Branch wasn't too serious.

The thing that gets swept under the rug though is that we used considerably fewer chips and TEs staying in for blocking in the first couple of games with Cannon at RT than we were using in the last two games with Fleming there.

The cost of doing that are fewer receiving options out in patterns. So there is a certain tradeoff...

Unfortunately, this season reminds me so much of 2015. We’ve lost our best receiver, a good looking 2nd year receiver, best defensive player, and now one of our best Olinemen. Let’s not forget the loss of Derick Rivers who looked good in preseason.

Just brutal. Wasn’t Brady playing hurt in 2015 too ? Just too many injuries this year. It would be a minor miracle to win it all this year.

The offensive line is crumbling due to injuries...wtf is it with this team and injuries this season...****...one injury away from playing steet free agents in the playoffs...

And i'd say, as they so often do, the Pats go into ultra conservative get rid of the ball in like a half second passes because McD is afraid Brady will get killed...
Where would we be playing street fee agents with one injury?

I would take this year's team over 2015 every time.

Bah. We are still the best team and will pretty much wrap up HFA on Sunday.

I don't think the two statements are mutually exclusive. I am indeed reminded of 2015, although I would certainly take this team over them.

Nothing on the Branch front is very positive news.

LAWaddle had played very well when ask to fill in not the end of the world.

If Fleming or Waddle go down at the least they'll be forced to rotate in players playing out of position and at the worst will have to sign street FA or practice squad scrubs

Well no more "when is Cannon returning" posts. So we have that going for us...

LaWaddle played well with help. Injury prone (on his second inj. this year).
Fleming looks better on stat sheet than re-watch (still 3 hurries @Mia).

Cannon means job done w/o help in PP and monster run blocking w Mason.
