DRAFT BGC 2021 Pre-Draft/Patriot-Type Prospect(s) thread

Remember this was one of the better run defenders on the #6th ranked run defense in the country. 6th, I think, top ten, for sure.

Look at his feet. Really moves down and through the OL. Watching Barmore and you'll see inconsistent, sloppy footwork in the run game. Stuff like that will be exposed next level if you can't clean it up. Barmore really has a knack for attacking your weak spot and his hands are really + at times.

Again + footwork to hold up, slice through the line. W/e I watch a prospect I always watch the upper and lower half separately. Not easy.

Kenny Yeboah as well if if wasn't covered already here...Do you guys think we May go for TE later on for competition? It couldn't hurt to take some shots to maybe get an Upgrade over current players even though I like to fill some need with later picks for cheap depth.
My N.1 goal would be to upgrade the offense within the next two years through draft and FA so i wouldn't mind to take a shot there at some WR/TE as the captain already mentioned
Not a big fan of using a draft pick on a TE this year; I'd rather explore the UDFA market for somebody to join a vet UFA signing, AssyAssy, Keene, Izzo & LaGlasse.

Remember this next time you want to blame scouts. Whether it worked out or not. Early picks, "big money" picks will always be made by big money people. In most cases I should say.

I really liked DeCastro for the Pats that year too...Sh!tsdirt didn't go wrong either way there...

I think we should double-dip at WR this year as well as sign a couple of UFAs (Byrd's return might depend on Cant's return)...Milne is definitely somebody to watch during the draft's last 100 picks; I hope that Bill has also grabbed one during the first 100 picks...
Yes, because re-vamping the ENTIRE receiving Corps has worked so well in the past.. Relying to 2 rookies receivers in this offense???

the Pats are more likely to double or triple dip on the Defensive line and/or Offensive Line than they are at WR. Heck, it's more likely they double dip at LB than at WR.

Watching from the outside, it always seems like Pittsburgh just says "What do we need? Not sure. We'll take a linebacker then." De Castro was a good pick, but if they'd taken HT ... My goodness!

Another nice comp that's right in front of your face

Watch our 15th pick if we do decide to pick there be someone boring. Like Christian darrisaw or alijah vera tucker. An OL to replace Thuney

Look, I understand Jake Bailey is a star and punter is the last need on this team. It makes me sad that the Pats will have no interest in my favorite Georgia Tech player since Shaq Mason. Pressley Harvin is the best punter in the draft and an absolute stud.

That's not boring at all. I'd be thrilled with either.

Both actually have first round value. I mean I guess it's subjective but I see so many names thrown around that aren't equal to their value. That's first and foremost. We're getting a first round caliber prospect.

Also look at what Becton, Willis, Wirfs did fpr their respected teams. Look at what happened in the SB when Mahomes was playing behind a makeshift OL. I get why some don't think it's sexy or we but we've seen what a good or poor line can do.

Build the lines.

My bet is OL/DL/ LB. There is no "replacing" replacing Thuney. That's like saying they're gonna draft someone to replace HANNAH.. You can't replace that level of talent. That's why I believe the Pats should offer him a 3-5 year deal. He's proven to be an outstanding lineman who can play multiple positions and play the Guard position at an ALL-PRO level. I think he's got the ability to be an ALL-PRO at center as well.
