Bedard:Patriots fans have become the worst fanbase in the NFL.

Didn't the propaganda lead to DefameGate, which then exposed Kraft's ignorance/naivety regarding CameraLocationGate?

Wellll yeahhhhh, and every NFL team that wants to can frame the Pats at this point. Just imagine the gap b/w us and the rest of the league if we were able to pick 2 more number 1 picks... that could be the next Chad Jackson or Lawrence Maroney, I don't remember which

Just kidding. It's kind of nice that we kick everybody's butt in the middle and late rounds and w/UDFAs, along with turning veterans into what they always could have been, though.

End result: The Clots lost worse after the frame move. They got a "Defeated by World Champions" banner out of it. We got a ring. I'm good.

Bedard probably shames rape victims as well. "It was so long ago, she seems to be doing well now stop complaining "

Speaking of the Indiots... I don't know if there's some way to gauge the amount, but I bet they're all feeling pretty deflated after their latest loss, this time to the mighty Jags.

Grigson's got to have pictures of Irsay snorting blow off of a hooker's ass. It's about the only thing that explains his still having a job.

Actually it's even worse than that. I read somewhere that Grigson is Irsay's SON-IN LAW. (not 100% sure that is a fact)

It's almost like letting Jonathan Kraft run football operations for the Pats. I almost feel sorry for Andrew Luck. He's gone from being the best young QB's of this decade, to being a shell shocked, post traumatic syndrome victim whose prime years are being wasted because of their junkie owner, idiot GM and suspect HC. Currently he's on track for 61 sacks.

But I say 'almost' because he had a chance to get out of there, but instead took the money and mortgaged his career. Luck is supposed to be a smart kid, His father is supposed to be even smarter. How he let his kid sign that contract is beyond me. But they did, so they deserve what they get, and what they are getting is concussed

Speaking of the Colts, my vote for the worst fans ever is the 70's LA Rams, who's team back then reminds me of them. Back then the Rams owned that division because everybody else were low-feeders. In the playoffs, they were one-and-done when they played real teams - just like the Colts the past decade. What's worse is in the 70's the Rams fans would frequently boo their team...writers talked about them having a home-field disadvantage. They have taken 21 years to land an NFL team. It will be interesting what their fans are like in a couple of years.

I guess you are another poster that gives the league office far too much credit. Conspiracy? No. Incompetence? Yes. once Kravitz started the hysteria, and the other owners got news, a ridiculous series of events was put into motion. Then, it all became about covering their butts and not admitting their initial mistake of not knowing about the IGL. This is the same incompetence and bad judgment that led to bountygate, the Ray Rice fiasco, and other disasters of ineptitude.

If you don't think the actions involving the entire league and legal mess among certain owners and Goodell against the Patriots, Kraft and Brady are not the textbook definition of a conspiracy, you need a new dictionary.

At any point in the process of this farce, the original ridiculous charge, the comic book investigatory report, the scientific analyses of multiple PHD scientists, the ridiculous non-appeal process, the humiliating loss in court, up to the end of the multimillion dollar campaign resulting in even higher priced lawyers for goondell's final judge shopping escapade, a group of owners could have said "enough." They have that power.

They didn't, because they conspired with their hired stooge to attempt to prevent a team that had become too good, despite the lowest picks every year, in a sport that values "parity."

It is not just incompetence or coincidence.

Your recitation of the facts is completely consistent with incompetence, confirmation bias, and bad judgment. The league had apparently been hearing for years about the Patriots bending the rules. The public had already branded them as cheaters. Once they found the balls underinflated and Kravitz communicated that to the public the die was cast. Dropping the case after the owners and public were up in arms would have required guts and integrity that Goodell simply doesnt have. It would have been a FAR bigger scandal for the league to drop the case than it ultimately ended up being to carry it out. Goodell would have been trashed for being "weak" and in Kraft's pocket. Im sure many morons would have cried racism if Brady went unpunished while the league doled out huge punishments to black players. From the league's perspective, the better play from a PR standpoint was to double down and rely on Goodell's broad powers under the CBA to punish Brady. This is what they did, and apart from a few voices in the wilderness (Jenkins (who also defended Lance Armstrong), and Wetzel (who grew up and went to college in Massachusetts)), most people think Goodell won and Brady lost fair and square.

Your comments about "judge shopping" demonstrate a break from reality. The league picked the venue but drew the worst possible judge for them. Dont you remember Judge Berman? Or are you suggesting that the league picked who sat on the 2nd Circuit panel? I hope you realize how ridiculous that suggestion is.

And if deflategate was evidence of a league conspiracy to end the Patriots' run, why wasnt that communicated to the officials in the AFCCG or SB 49? Those games were so close that a single call would have given victory to the other team. Why not suspend Brady for a year, as they did with the Saints? Oh, right the Saints...I guess the league was tired of their dominance as well? Youre fooling yourself if you think deflategate was any more unjust than bountygate. IMO bountygate was worse. Worse still, the Ray Rice fiasco. All of these events have had in common thread a league that is incompetent and devoid of the slightest integrity, not a hatred of the Patriots.

So, the conspiracy theory is debatable, but there's no bias against NE? Was it Jerry Jones who shook RG's hand and said, "Good job on Brady!"...Jealousy and resentment of Kraft doesn't exist, and/or has no influence?

Also curious, if Brady were black, would not the lack of a substantive case create the appearance of racism on the part of the NFL, and therefore affected the judges' ruling?

You know, I saw some tweets about the Tuck rule today, started by former Raiders exec Amy Trask. How do Raiders fans not qualify for having a persecution complex. 15 years later, they're still crying about being on the wrong side of a little used rule?

Maybe if the league invented that rule on the spot, awarded possession to the Patriots, took away their 1st round pick in 2002 and suspended Rich Gannon for 4 games, they might have a reason to complain.

Serious question. When is the last time someone was killed or brutally injured or assaulted at a Patriots game?

Conspiracy theory is not debatable, in fact it's been documented including the names of owners.

Um, well, don't know if this counts, but on 12/18/76 the Patriots were assaulted and robbed out at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum...

What Orthwein and Kraft did to Pat Patriot in '93 was not at a game...

Sorry, understand it's a serious question, and I suppose you can't call our chances of winning the game "somebody" when they're the victim of a terrible coach's decision...

Will have to do some research to answer your question.

TODAY? Amy Troll-Trask has long since outlasted her fifteen minutes. Is she blaming the league for creating the rule? Or is she alleging a conspiracy?

If there was any justice, that franchise would not move to Vegas, it would fold forever. And I really respect and appreciate Al Davis. John Madden is a very nice man, so I prefer not to emphasize that he is totally deluded as to the events of 12/18/76.
