I can't see a scenario where JG would want to wait and waste 5-7 years of his career. He is either traded this year or next off season after being tagged. The alternative is to "Montana" Brady, which I can't see happening while he is still capable of bringing home the Lombardi's. If I were to bet JG is playing else where next year and Bill has multiple hands to play on Thursday night of the draft.
In addition if you are a QB needy team, and graded JG out as a 2-3rd round pick coming out of the draft. Then factor in three seasons under the GOAT, learning how to be a pro and do it right. He's 25, performed well in the two games he played in the NFL. How do you take the UNC kid over that, assuming the UNC kid comes out after one season as a starter. To me its a no brainer, but I am discussing this on a forum and not in an NFL war room.
But watching CSN Chicago right now and they are talking about this very subject. Although they assume Fox is staying, I would not be surprised if he is gone. And if I am Josh I think the Bears would be a great spot. Stable ownership, excellent fan base and bring your boy JG with you. Just my $0.02!
