2025 FA wish list

I want a monster fatty NT, preferably in the draft.
His name is Deone Walker from Kentucky but monster fatty is an apt description off the 6'6 350 pound beast. This is a highlight reel but shows off his impressive movement skills.

Spending enough to sign one or two impact players would go a long ways. Creates so much less dependency on the draft.

When I say 'impact players', I'm not restricting that to the annual 'sign-the-wr-beast' fantasies we always seem to have here - though there are several quality wide receiver possibilities.

Maybe a LB like KC's Nick Bolton, Titan's Ernest Jones, 49ers Dre Greenlaw (I'm assuming he'll be recovered by then).

Edge rusher Josh Sweat (Eagles) or Raiders DE Malcolm Koonce perhaps.

A center, or guard that can be converted to center would be a plus. With this roster there is no such thing as too many offensive linemen, until proven otherwise. Decent free agent offensive tackles are hard to find; the Pats will most likely have to use their first round draft pick on that position. (Will Campbell, Kelvin Banks).

If we can get Campbell and trade to get Walker also in the 2025 Draft as well, that would be awesome. We also NEED a solid starting Center as well. Hit those 3 and we'd be off to a solid start for Maye.

Bingo. With our cap space it should be 3 or 4 impact players.

Forget WR and build out the rest of the team.

This is all correct. A CB across from Gonzo. Fill out the D with FA.

Draft the OL. R1 pick a LT. Package the Judon 3rd and our 2nd to get back into R1 for a RT. Need J Andrews to be healthy to be Center, or draft Center at the top of R3.

I agree. We gave those guys on the roster. McMillan, Tavai, Jennings, X. Our depth is challenged due to the injuries and trade of judon.

No team is super stacked with talent when you get beyond your starting players. Organizations are only investing guaranteed money into starting level players. Uche in my opinion is in a prime position to make a difference and nice contract for himself. However he will need to do more than flash every now and then.

Jake Andrews at C could possibly be the successor to to D. Andrews However he's hurt.

Maye is the most important asset going forward. OL needs to be priority number one.

Question is who will be backup. Tannehill would be great. Unfortunately, he probably won't pick NE as he has no chance of starting over Maye.

No, dude is hurt a lot and I don't think the cost/benefit is worth it. Not opposed to upgrading the WR room, but I would like to see Maye with what we have. Higgins hamstrings are like cold rubber bands, in that they tear and don't seem pliable.

I also feel like the OL and DL need addressed before WR.
So, with $150M of cap money let's NOT sign our WR until we have gotten our offensive and defensive linemen???

I strongly, strongly disagree.

We need a top OL, top DL and a top WR in free agency. It makes exactly ZERO difference which is signed first.

Who would you see a potential game changer at WR? I'm thinking Higgins..
I watched all-22 of Higgins from last game, based on that not sure he's a true #1, difference between Chase and Nabors and him are pretty significant. Of course, better than what they have but you have to pay #1 money to him. I thought maybe he was off a bit after missing time to injury.

So went back and watched his Buffalo game last year, totally different guy, I don't think he's 100% right now and the injury history is a concern but if he shows the rest of the year like he did in mid-2023 I think you take a shot and overpay for him, get the Tackle in the draft, not sure how else you get the receiver they need, or at least have decent odds to get one.

In theory yes, but as this year is showing us it is more important to ensure that your OL is able to give the QB time to get the ball to said WR. If we attempt to get the WR first and are busy negotiating with Higgins for example and the LT we want signs elsewhere then we have successfully stabbed ourselves in the back.

Also we do not know what we have at WR with Maye at QB. The fact that you and seemingly everyone else has decided that we need a "#1 WR" without knowing what we have at WR with Maye in my opinion is misguided.

I think it would be a big mistake to sign Higgins to a "#1 WR" type contract because dude is hurt a lot.

Your analysis is flawed.

I, along with many others, do NOT believe that we need to have a WR before a top OT and a top DT. (along with a top LB, along with re-signing Jones or getting a replacement, and along with re-signing Wise or getting a replacement).

ALL SIX are needed before the 2025 season starts. Six is NOT a lot when a team has $150M in cap money.

I hope this sparks some good conversation because I can't take much more Wolf and Mayo suck or give them some time because BB left them ****.
I am not suggesting contract lengths or money, rather putting together a list of players I am interested in for this team that I will keep my eye on this year.

LT Dan Moore: The priority Should be bringing in quality players, starters and depth. Moore is playing very well for the Steelers and is still young.

C Connor Williams: I don't know if I really believe that Andrews plays beyond 2024. I know he signed an extension but he has been pushed around more this year than I remember in recent years. If nothing else it brings competition to the position.

LG Will Fries: Competition for Sow and Robinson. Will play opposite Owenu.

OT's: Moore, Wallace, Campbell(draft pick), Developmental OT
OG's: Owenu, Sow, Robinson, Fries, Strange
C: Williams, Andrews

IDL Levi Onwuzurike
IDL Alim Mcneil:
Both young guys that tend to be penetrators as opposed to space eaters.

DL: Barmore(hopefully he has a full recovery), Godchaux, Johnson, McNeil, Onwuzurike

Edge: Patrick Jones
Edge: White, Jennings, Kromah, Jones

CB: Kristian Fulton: Its time we bring in a bonafide CB FA to start opposite Gonzo. Jon Jones has been very good but at 33 I think his time here is up.
CB: Paulson Adebo:

CB: Fulton, Adebo, Gonzo, M. Jones, Dial

I anticipate the Personnel department spending some money next year because Maye should be up and running at a quick pace so this rebuild could completed fairly quickly. I am sure there will be smaller signings made as well but these are some higher end players I think would elevate our squad. I have thoughts on the entire draft but want to wait until later in the year to see more of the Pats and the college season.

Thoughts on the players suggested and areas that you move in.

I LOVE this. It's always fun to think about who we could bring in. I'm hoping, either through FA or Draft, we can find a young, instinctive and FAST LB. Someone who Offenses will need to gameplan around. I love linebackers like that.
