That's now 5 DBs on the PS…but Zero at LB or at QB.

The scout team is now playing with 14 defenders including 7 DBs against the #1s on offense in order to give the WRs and RBs extra challenges getting open.

Yep. Don't like the composition of PS at the moment either. Hope DB log jam has nothing to do w Travis, D.Jones. (BTW D.Jones was excellent returner in college albeit small school comp.)

Because the coaches know that Punt Return Average has as much to do with the blocking (or lack there of) by the team's punt coverage unit as it does with the punt returner himself..

McCarron's numbers from his Iowa pro day are pretty impressive.

It looks like he might be heading to IR. It's never a good sign when a player is downgraded from LP to DNP, and he seems like a more likely IR candidate than Burkhead right now.

If that's the case, then one of Valentine, McClellin, and Mitchell is out for the year.

That type of quickness, yet he was released from the Texans practice squad. Have to assume it's just not translating.

Also, given that Reiss is speculating that Grissom is being promoted, I wonder what the corresponding roster move is? Sadly I'm afraid it might be Burkhead being placed on IR with broken ribs that were originally thought to be bruised last week. We'll see....
