Super Bowls have a "home" team for the purposes of selecting locker room, jersey and sidelines (and the designated visitors get to call the coin toss). However, within the record books, it is considered a neutral site game for both participants. If we are talking about the Patriots' last road playoff win, SB49 does not count. Similarly, SB 36 and SB38 were not home playoff wins.
So at worst we go 2-2 in those games. We should at worst be 13-3
Also we only have 3 1:00 PM games left, 2 Sunday nighters and 1 Monday nighter and 2 4:25 games. The Broncos vs Pats game will be the national 4:25 game so 4/8 games are prime time or at least nationally televised.
You're right; they've had 2 road playoff games (losses at Denver) in the past ten years. In the last 11 years, they're 2-2 on the road in the playoffs. I'd hardly call these significant statistics.
even if we pull a 4-4 second half like last year we get at least the 2 seed. Mathematically unlikely we lose out to anyone other than the AFC West for seeding purposes.
