Still hate to give up a 1st, even if it's in 2028, but I'm warming to it. We literally get what will likely be his most productive 2 seasons for FREE..

STILL a high price for a guy who will be considered aging in 3 seasons. If we wind up giving them a #1 that's #25 or lower the price will be seen a bit more reasonable .

My hope now is that we can get a 5th or better for Boutee, though I'm thinking that it'll be more likely a 6th than a 4th. Maybe adding an extra 4th in 28 will mitigate the loss of a low first

I loved Brandin Cooks. If he hadn’t have gotten that concussion early in the SB vs Philly, I think the Pats would’ve won that one. He was a huge difference maker all year, especially since we lost Edelman in the preseason to a knee injury.

They played that game without Edelman and Hightower. Brady Gronk, Danny and Hogan balled out. They may have lost that game but the effort was awesome to watch. Results weren’t what we wanted but I was proud of the offense.

I’ll never understand the Butler benching. Philly 10/16 on 3rd downs, no way anyone can convince me he would not have had an impact on one of those 3rd downs

2028 1st for an elite WR when the team has Super Bowl aspirations shouldn’t be questioned at all. You can’t keep saying this team is cheap and isn’t serious then when they make a deal to spend money and assets to get back to the Super Bowl be like “they shouldn’t do it”

lol. For some reason I forgot that most of the people screaming about the trade are the same Felgerites who scream about how cheap they are. And I guarantee that if the offense struggled this season they would be the first ones complaining that they didn't do enough in the offseason to improve the offense, and Felger and Captain KKK would be leading that charge.

The Pats did not draft a WR to replace Diggs and are up the creek without a paddle if this deal dont go through.

Howie Roseman is the sharpest GM in the business and holds all the cards. Time is on his side and not on Wolfs. Training camps and preseason games are starting soon and some stud WR always pulls up lame. Just wait a few months for new team that never serves baloney to its players to be looking for a WR.

What if this were the deal?

New England receives:
AJ Brown
2027 3rd round pick

Philadelphia receives:
2027 2nd round pick
2028 2nd round pick (conditional; rising to 1st pending player/team performance targets)

So a 2027 Day 2 pick swap, and a 2028 conditional 2nd/1st.

Allows Roseman the path to a 1st rounder, which is his aim, but protects our top capital in a loaded 2027 draft. We would retain 3x top 100 picks in that draft.

I would totally do this trade, as long as the conditions on the 2028 pick were tight enough (e.g. two consecutive seasons of 800+ receiving yards, or the team making the AFCCG in either 2026 or 2027).
