Trevon Diggs was released by the Cowboys yesterday. The 27 year old CB wanted to go to DC to be with family for the holidays after their game on Xmas and was denied. At any rate, he is currently a free Agent who can sign with anyone for the playoff push. He's a quality DB on a team in need of defensive help, and OBTW, it will be easy to see his brother.

He is a bigger CB and I could see him being a guy you can match up with one of those prolific receiving TE's we see so often now. Mapu or Diggs? Think about it.

If he can't play for Dallas - that doesn't say too much about his ability at this point.

He had a decent couple of years, and fell off a cliff. It happens. He's a Terrell Buckley-type, a gambler, not a real cover guy.

Is he better than Cobee Minor and Charles Woods? Probably. Would he actually help this year? Probably not.

I would take a look from depth perspective. Lets see what Vrabel thinks though. I think he will probably push with what we have at this point.

He is not currently a FA, not until 4 pm Eastern anyway. While it's unlikely anyone takes on that contract, he's not a FA yet

Not sure they really NEED a corner. Gonzalez/Davis/Jones are a very good top 3. Even if you bring in Diggs, he's the 4th corner who wouldn't see the field much. I'd probably rather get a new 3rd safety first.

Dallas released him because he wanted to stay in DC after the Dallas-Wash game, because the Diggs are from Maryland. Dallas refused even though they were heading to an extended break. He said, "fine, I'll just catch a play back to DC when we land in Dallas" and that is why they cut him.

He is a man to man CB and they have him playing zone. Once had 11 INTs in one season, plus you have the incentive to play with his brother, I say give him a shot.

I disagree I Don't like testing the depth after our Top 3. I would go get him for better depth: Miles Austin sucks too.

How many teams are 4 deep with starter level players at corner??

On the heels of Stephon's little strangulation incedent, I'm not sure bringing another Diggs into the fold is a good idea.
Lose Gonzo or Marcus for any amount of time and you'll see. I not even that high on Davis who still better than the alternatives.

Well I remember the BB Teams having much better depth at CB than this Mike Vrabel Team. Our CB depth is abysmal.

He gives up a ton of big plays.

This isn't a great argument; e.g., Darius Butler succeeded in Indy after failing here, and Van Noy couldn't get playtime on the Lions before succeeding here.

During the BB tenure we found some late rounds and undrafted Gems at CB. Guys who could Start in a pinch: we currently Don't have that on this Team. Better Depth @ CB is a Need.
