Diggs Effect On the Offense Has Been Significant

GREAT Hands IMO.
Proved it last night ON 4th and 2.
Our guys have really good HANDS, not so much body catchers.
Still a little puzzled at Pop's snap counts and how average he is in the Slot. It will be interesting to see how Chism fares knowing he'll be repping with the ones this week and also next.

Diggs is quick

S Diggs will be even better next year: so I also think he sees the end of his current contract. Also Mike Vrabel really likes him and he's shown that he's a Leader and not a selfish primadonna.
His attitude is worth watching. He's been great, but lots of "troubled" guys - him included - have history of starting off good and turning sour by the end. One big factor in that is contract status. His contract was set up to really be a year to year thing but obviously that was the best deal he could get. Coming off a good season, what if he wants to lock in security now? What if he doesn't want to have his status hung up on a year to year contract. We like to think he could be better next year with another season back from injury, but age could also overrule it. Or he could even get hurt again and he has no security against it. He might want to parlay this year into some security and if you bring him back on a 1 year deal where he feels lower production will stop him from getting paid again he could be more prickly next year. That's pretty much what happened with Moss at the end of his time here, for example.

I'd be very surprised if he sees the end of his current contract as-is. It will either be extender/altered or he'll be cut after year 2 IMO. I definitely see him back next year though.

Will he? He's still WR5 behind Diggs/Boutte/Hollins/KWilliams. Your WR6 who gets elevated to WR5 due to injury doesn't really need to be a part of the gameplan. When Boutte was out, for example, they didn't play Chism at all. He's got a better shot this week with it being Douglas out because of role overlap but still....

If I had to bet though, without Douglas, Chism still won't play and those snaps will go to KWilliams as an outside WR which just means a higher percentage of Diggs' snaps comes from the slot. Nothing I've seen from Chism so far this year or how they've handled him indicates that he's someone they'll feel needs to be part of the gameplan as WR5.

IF he stays healthy it's only two years also him knowing Josh McDaniels Offense is also a plus. His current salary will seem like peanuts compared to what the Top Players at the Position are making.

Boutte got concussed on that strange play and Pop have a hammy. I think Both are out next Sunday.

Ring for diggs. I'm starting the slogan now.

Looks like Boutte is out as well as Douglas, probably both for rest of the season.

So it will most likely be Diggs, Hollins, Williams, and Chism. Unless some PS elevation sneaks in and steals some snaps, which is also a likelihood.

That’s right. I’d forgotten him. Whether it’s him or EFCIII I hope whoever gets the chance seizes their opportunity and makes the most of it. Ideally both of them.
