That’s not what a straw man is. That’s pointing out what your comment that he who signs the check deserves all the credit means in an analogius example to prove how foolish it is.

Kraft has been clear that football decisions were up to Belichick. That is an example of Kraft disagreeing and belichick having the decision making power. Kraft has said many times that is his he runs all of his companies. He hires manager and gives them the power to run the show. You know that but are pretending not to because you’ve tapped your self into a corner.
You are lying or out of touch if you think Kraft made personnel decisions

The way the real world works is people are hired and given authority. People given authority and paid lie belichick was paid aren’t micro managed like apparently you are in your little job.

Every piece of evidence, data and commentary that exists proves you are wrong.
I can't entertain this nonsense anymore

Eh that’s stretching it. The only player who started a single game for that defense who wasn’t acquired AFTER the move and after BB was Rob Burnett. And Rob Burnett was actually drafted in 1990, the year before Belichick got there. He didn’t acquire a single player who started a game on that defense. Maybe there were offensive holdovers (I didn’t check), but they sucked on that side anyway. Giving BB any credit for those Ravens defenses is irrational.

But overall in CLE his first 4 years had a decent improvement arc before that unique fourth year. It’s not like he was some total flop of a coach the way some try to paint his record there.
Bill left Cleveland in 1995. That was 5 years before the Ratbirds won the SB. Giving Bill credit for that is definitely a stretch.

I wouldn't call Bill's time in Cleveland a total flop, but 4 of 5 losing seasons is nothing to write home about. In his defense Bill was the owner's fall guy.

I should have listened

This stuff happens every time you have a bad argument and can’t defend it. I accept your concession.
I accept this concession. And now I have to let you go before you do any more damage to yourself. Mute (key word) point

Edit: Can someone please tell infant Andy that despite getting his notification I can no longer read his posts in this thread because I put him in his time out chair.

I should have listened
You had every opportunity
I don’t live in the region so where the team is located doesn’t matter to me and isn’t an indicator of hall of fame worthiness.

If you think owners should be included in the honoring of the greatest players and coaches in the history of the game that’s up to you but no matter how much you try to argue, you simply aren’t going to convince me.
But then you decided to invite yourself in to my post resounding to a different poster and start up again.

Last bastion of the defeated.

Yeah you're right. Had to put him in timeout. Last time I did that he cried to the mods, so we'll see if the tantrum continues
I discussed the topic, you started personal attacks. You are the one having a tantrum.
But that’s great I’m sure all the users of this board care really interested in reading about your vendettas and personal attacks rather than football.
I know you are embarrassed that your argument contradicted itself and I pointed it out but quitting would be your best move.

I think something to keep in mind about that time in Cleveland and this isn't just a credit to Bill I think all 3 and even others on the staff can all share in the credit that wound up being one of those moments in football that is one of its better think tanks. They all should be proud of what everyone went on to do.

For Bill, Saban, and Ozzie to all come out the other side and go on to impact the game the way they did is an extremely noteworthy chapter in football history.

It's not the only time: Lombardi and Laundry were on the same staff in the 50s. And many other great coaching trees that could be considered great think tanks too.

If Jerraaah jones is in kraft should be in also. I never understood why J Jones is in the HOF in the first place.

Agree. I really don't care either way, but if Jerrah is in then Kraft should be as well.

Thank you Mr.Kraft for quickly realizing your mistake and making course correction in time and for ensuring that we draft a QB at 3 irrespective of trade offers.

It should not be lost on all of us that we owe it to Kraft for letting go of Mayo and getting in Vrabel. Not a easy decision to swallow pride, accept mistake and cut the losses. Not many owners can do what Mr.Kraft did.

If we win the Superbowl or even go to afc championship this year , kraft should get into the HOF .

Good for them. When do we find out about the player finalists?

Last year after Xmas. Probably roughly the same time.

If they both get in, anyone else thinking we will be playing in the HoF game this year?

woulda been cool if the three heads of the New England Hydra were all eligible in the same year
