21-Years ago today (6/17/00) I registered the domain patsfans.com, having no idea that the following year would be the start of what it's been for the team. It's just really cool that we've all been able to enjoy it together and I honestly can't believe it's been that long...what a crazy ride. Thank you to all of you who visit each day & for all the friends & people I've gotten to know over the years, as well as the ones who are no longer with us. Realizing that we've had so many who were a part of this community and that I played a part in that is incredibly humbling...I don't have...

I registered the domain and started planning the site after I learned Rivals.com - the site I was contributing to at the time - was going away.

The rest, as they say, is history.

Thank you to everyone who is still here (and to those who are no longer with us ) for being a part of this crazy corner of the internet we're still managing to hold down, even with how the landscape continues to change. And thank you to those who have supported me both with your PMs over the years during the difficult periods, and for those who have kicked in donations to help me sustain it.

Looking forward to what the next 20 years have in store, and I'll do the best I can to hopefully continue to hold up my end of things, and I'm absolutely forever grateful.

LOL. I recently recovered a lot of the content from those early years, pretty psyched about that. Added a "This Week in Patriots History" block, mostly inspired by @jmt57 's posts over the years. Kind of cool to stumble across some of those old articles as they come up. I think there are over 15k of them we've all written over the years...which is bananas.

(I must have joined in 2001 or 2002 because of a reference in the Globe by Nick Cafardo. Everyone says that his heart wasn't in football, but he did a fine job as a beat reporter in my view, and that was the best turn he did this reader.)

He was amazing, and a great guy. I was fortunate enough to meet him back in my days of being down there at the stadium, and he was just a kind and genuine person...and I can still remember the moment I read the piece years later mentioning this place. It was really, really cool. Was definitely saddened when he passed.

Many thanks, Ian! The number of us still hanging around here with a Sep 13, 2004* start date is a tribute to the community you've built. I've learned to be a better football fan here, not to mention learning how to not rise to troll bait. (I've abandoned some mighty fine rants without posting over the years!)

How is it that Denver can afford the guys they have on that team vs the Ocean state job lot jags that Brady has to work with on the Pats.
Do you think Denver has lot of money under the cap?
There are 4 teams in the AFC better than the Pats right now and there is no excuse for it.

C'mon, Be honest, when they introduced the OL did you REALLY think they had a chance if every break didn't go their way. Instead, just about all the breaks and bounces went the other way, and they STILL won the F%cking game.

I just was hoping that we'd see a competitive game with good defense, and at least some competence from the offense. Well I saw all three and more. Once they hit the 4th quarter, I felt strongly, that regardless of how the game ended, the Pats were leaving big winners in the long run. The fact they actually won the game was just a bonus....although a very BIG...

Just not having the kind of year I expected. Is it psychological ? Is he not getting the help with some WR's he used to? Anytime someone caught the ball Saturday I was looking for 21 trailing the play, ok sometimes it was Rowe . Can he turn it around for next games?

The game is scheduled to kick around at 6:30 PM EST in Glendale Arizona. NBC will do the broadcast of tonight's game . Weather will not be a factor as the game is being played indoors.

Yes I am fully aware this is highly unlikely but the only way I see it happening is if he loses the locker room especially since he was hired because he connects with the players. The reason I started this thread (which I am sure many will hate) is because there seems to be some cracks in the foundation already.

Godchaux recently called out some nameless guys on the defense calling them selfish and insinuating there is some freelancing going on. I think most of us have surmised that he is likely talking about Keion White or Josh Uche. Guys looking out for number one already only a month...

We remember after 40 or more years of loving a team that was the joke of the NFL. We were befriended by Patriots fans when you came to NO in 2009. You didn't make fun of us, and even in the papers it was quoted how great your fans were. You really made a huge impression on us and that never went away. You are really an amazing football fanbase and Im am sure in my heart your team is a product of the good solid fans of NE.

Congrats on the win in an absolutely crazy game.

My thoughts:

• For about 60 seconds, the game seemed to play out exactly to my ‘best scenario’ prediction (all the way down to the final 31-27 score . Pitt was able to play ball control successfully, and while neither defense really stopped the other, Pitt was able to get just enough pressure to keep TB from completely going off.
• I thought Pitt pretty much went all-in on the man coverage concept, which was pretty courageous considering their injuries in the secondary (as well as the youth that would be playing). Obviously Brady...

This one is going to be structure less. Just some disorganized observations that will help me digest what I just saw.

1. A family emergency caused me to miss the first half, and I'm sure that was one of the reasons my blood pressure remained so low. After looking at the stats and hearing about that first half, I image it must have been extremely frustrating, especially given how well the defense was playing.

2. I knew about the Brady pick, which after I saw a replay of it, wasn't as horrible as I thought. Coleman made a nice play on the ball, it gets deflected, and unfortunately...
