He is just as raw as Shemar Stewart and Jalon Walker. Carter only has a ghost rush move that he wins with, I know this was his first year as an edge. Everyone is saying he is a blue chip prospect but it is all speculation. In the NFL once OTs realize that he only has the speed rush, ghost move it will be easier for OTs to block him. He has a spin move that is Shawn Crable like, he telegraphs it and does not really set it up. He is also on the ground a lot, when not making tackles.
He has a lot of upside as long as he can take to the coaching he gets, but he has a good amount of things to learn, imo. He is not alright against the run but gets moved pretty easily when trying to set the edge, initially I see him as a pass rush only guy and I think this team needs more from pick 4.
He might take to coaching and learn various pass rush moves and become Myles Garrett but that is a lot of ifs right now. He also has a super fast 1st step off the LOS.
I am not down on him per say, just not as high as others.
