I just saw this and found it incredibly funny

No kidding. I didn't want either or at least not at the money they were looking for. Aiyuk is a decent player, a good number 2 on a team. But he is getting paid like a number 1. San Fran really f-ed up with that contract.

I didn't want either one either, I would rather have 2 2's and some 3's than a 1 and whatever else. A good QB can make a good WR look like a star. To be honest I am not even sure what a #1 WR is, I feel like several people define it differently. I have heard that it's a player that every DC has to game plan for, so JE11 and Welker? Then I am told no, that plays the X, OK so Mike Williams? I think its nomenclature that don't mean ****.

To your point, dominant offenses need to have multiple options to keep opposing defenses honest. If there is a choice between one WR1 and multiple, reliable WR2/WR3 is better. My definition of a WR1 is a player that is impossible to stop when in a gotta have it situation without dedicating multiple resources which leaves a WR2/WR3 open.

Tuned into BST. Bedard said that there are league people that thought Rattler was better than Maye last week.

The anti-Maye, anti-NE sentiment is ridiculous.

Packing my bags tonite for my flight to London tomorrow night.

Anyone have any intel on
- when team gets there?….
- Any practice facilities laid on? … (maybe some royal‘s garden instead of Hyde Park this time. lol)
I‘m in London, plan to enjoy some sights before Sunday.

Still haven’t seen much of any team status; other than who didn’t fly.

But didn’t say where.

Enjoy Yourself! Go Pats!

So is Rham going to be Out again if so I don't see us winning. That's way too much pressure on Maye.

The way injuries seem to be up, this makes even more sense.

I’d give up our second for Higgins
Thats the 35th pick for someone who is probably the 30 - 40th best wide receiver and whom we don't know how he will play without a wr1 like chase. Could end up becoming like juju who was a beast with A Brown.

I would like to just pay his compensation and not trade anything for him. Anything higher than a 3rd is overkill.

Peppers bull crap didn't help.

And Jonathan seems to have taken a step back.

But Gonzo is proving the hype and Marcus looks pretty good too.

I think the bigger problem and by a lot is the lack of a pass rush.
JoJones was on the injury report all last week, so it sounds like he's well under 100%. (More so than the usual, "they're all playing through something" crap.)

Amazing how Gonzo's giving up 4recs, 39yds, and a TD on 10 routes to Diggs is a terrible day, even to him.

Don't get me wrong Jonathan Jones is still one of my favorites.

I think it's the crucial 3rd downs he was giving up to diggs.. but yeah I agree. Seems like gonzo wasn't himself.. he looked a bit slower to react.

What about his fluid hips?
I would have liked to see his fluid pass break up skills.. defense is playing zone to often becuase they don't have the horses up front right now. Reminiscing of those bad defensive units 2011, 2012..

He's fine! Do we even have a sack in the last several weeks? Very little pass rush, which puts pressure on the coverage unit. the whole team sport concept.

Lowe. What a disappearing act he continues to be. Can't wait to get a real tackle next season.
I want to give him some credit for doing a good job when he has been out there, but he seems to just immediately get hurt each time. Not sure what is up with that. So I guess it's Jacobs' job now, where he's been fairly good at times and really bad at other times, and maybe Wallace comes back from IR in a couple weeks. Even if Lowe gets healthy again, can you count on him to stay healthy at this point?
