I don’t know but im not watching another game with Jacoby. Ill watch reruns of the preseason games if i want to watch meaningless football
+1 +1 +1

I don't know what's more embarassing: The play of Brissett or the fact that they don't consider Maye good enough to replace him.

We are an embarrassment already. Why add injury to insult by feeding Maye to the lions?

No one is suggesting Maye get fed to the Lions, some seem to believe he should be fed to some jaguars though. Heck, we don't even play Detroit this year

Im just worried they will lose the locker room. Polk should’ve had an easy game winning td, would’ve been a great moment for him. The entire team is being robbed of an opportunity to be at their best. Not that Maye would take us to the playoffs this year or anything but im not sure how you sell the players on anything they want them to buy into with someone who may not be in the top 40 of nfl qbs.

Thank you Captain Obvious.
Clearly not so obvious because you think players should be benched because they might get injured.
Is it worse, better or the same if a player can’t play because he was injured or because he can’t play because we are being ****ies?

I grew up in the generation that did not get "Participation Trophies" and has been a Fan since Plunkett. This is a pure Flustercluck (which I've seen on this team before). They ruined Plunkett and Grogan. And DO NOT presume to know why I think it's unwise to play Maye at this point. If you can't see why it's unwise, then I can't help you. JFK once said "An error doesn't become a mistake, unless it remains uncorrected". Hiring Mayo/AVP (and possibly Wolf) was an error. Taking Maye was not. The sooner they correct the error the better, before it becomes a mistake. Let's just agree to disagree.

Because it’s not unwise to play him. He needs experience. He needs to develop. 98% of the hits plunkett and grogan took aren’t legal now. He is the franchise. He needs to play.

I agree that he needs to play. I'd just like his chances better with a stud LT and Center, and stability at LG and RT. They'd be sending him out there to engage in a gunfight with a 6 shooter against 7 or more gunfighters. I just want him to have just a fighting chance.

So? He needs to learn to deal with that adversity.
Facing pressure and succeeding against is the #1 characteristic of a top playoff winning Qb. That requires seeing it, adjusting to it, avoiding it, accelerating progressions. You can not learn that in practice or in film. You have to do it.
If a good line allows pressure 20% of the time, you better believe there are playoff games against string defenses that they will see if 50% of the time.

May’s playing now will get a crash course in dealing with that and will develop good habits against it, because he will see it 50% of the time every game. Why wouldn’t you want trial by fire, because if he is going to be what we hope he needs to succeed under fire.

Hiding him from challenge is the best way to be sure he doesn’t become THAT guy.

Even Brady and Gronk are saying he shouldn't play behind this OL. Again, I don't dispute the merits of learning to overcome adversity. At least when he started, Brady had a good OL and OC. Ultimately, we'll find out which way it's going to go. And neither one of us has a say in it.

Its now 2-5 weeks too late and I don't see an end any time soon. What a shame.

It’s football. When did the fan base become so ****ified?
I mean, most fans are from New England. Look how most New Englanders are in general with being sensitive..

Brady was sacked 41 times in 413 attempts in 14 in 2001.
Brissett has been sacked 17 times in 135 attempts in 5 games .

Thats 2.93 per game vs 3.4. Arguably Brady getting rid of the ball faster is probably the difference in an extra 1 sack every 2 games.

Are we really going to hold back the future over a sack every 2 games?

maye will start once some of the coaching staff get fired after fans stop showing up to the games.

They can't have this offense in Germany can they? I mean talk about showing the Germans some great football. Plus I'd like a Maye/Williams game that won't come around all that often.

What if fans show up with bags on their heads?

As long as they show up, Krafty will be fine...
I noticed the bags are already out in the Dawg Pound.

He's a raw rookie. Just turned 22. And you want to throw him out behind an OL -- which is not just bad -- that may be the worst OL of the Super Bowl era? That's going to be good for his career and development? No elevated risk of injury? In a season that now means next to nothing? You didn't want to draft him, right? I'm not sure if anything other than spite can explain your position.
