New England dealt with two tough injuries Thursday night, with one guy being carted off, while the other probably won't know the severity of it until he wakes up tomorrow morning.
The Patriots saw 3rd year defensive back Brett Lockett get carted off the field in the second quarter with an apparent leg injury, although his status isn't known to this point. However, any time you get carted off - that's generally not a good sign.

The other shot came late in the fourth quarter on a special teams block on runningback Danny Woodhead, who took a tough helmet-to-helmet shot and dropped like a rock face down on the turf after the impact. Woodhead managed to get up just after the play, but he was clearly wobbly - staggering sideways before nearly falling down. Luckily his teammates immediately came to his aid and helped him walk off the field.
Camera's showed Woodhead being attended to by trainers after the play and he appeared to be O.K., but obviously we'll have to wait and see.
Taylor Price suffered a helmet-to-helmet shot last week against Jacksonville, and like Woodhead managed to get back up - although Price did stay in the game for a few plays. Jaguars linebacker Mike Lockley - who delivered the blow on Price - was fined $20,000 this week for that hit.
Price hasn't seen the field since, although most media reports are saying he's dealing with a leg injury. Some people are also wondering if the reason they're bringing in receivers for workouts is a sign that they have an injury concern at that position.
Tom Brady said after the game that he's hopeful Woodhead's O.K.
"He got hit pretty hard," said Brady. "That's football, there's guys moving fast out there, especially on punt returns, or any of the returns that things are happening so fast. He just turned his head and the guy really gave it to him good. Like I said, he's a tough guy, I know everyone's worried about him as his teammates would be, but hopefully he's O.K."
Dane Fletcher also left with a thumb injury, and his status is unclear as well.
Needless to say, it was a tough night. We'll have to wait and see in the coming days what it means for each of these players.
