Watching Thursday night's hit on Taylor Price, I wondered if Jacksonville's Mike Lockley would get fined for his helmet-to-helmet hit on Patriots wide receiver Taylor Price.
It appears the answer is yes.
Tania Ganguli of the Florida Times-Union reported via Twitter a few minutes ago that Lockely's been hit with a $20,000 fine thanks to the play.
The linebacker is undrafted rookie who hasn't even made the team yet, so one question she raised is whether or not he's going to have to pay the fine in the event he doesn't make the club. We'll keep an eye out for the answer to that question, and we'll update here as soon as we find that out.
Price has missed practice sessions since the game with a reported leg injury, and is expected to sit out tomorrow night's game against Tampa Bay.
UPDATE: According to the Herald's Ian Rapoport, if Lockely doesn't make the team, "there's no way to recover the money". So that answers that question.
