What you say sounds reasonable, but do you realize that the Dolphins averaged about 8 points over the last three games and we gave up 15? Our defense gave up double the Dolphins average over the last 3 games. Are you sure the defensive game plan was generally fine? The defensive plan was 2x worse than the average over the last 3 weeks - not really generally fine if you look at the stats.
I think the Dolphins also probably improved due to Huntley gaining familiarity with the scheme and getting Armstead and Mostert back

Plus they also had way more drives than they probably did in other games because NE’s offense can’t stay on the field

The players put in a maximum effort and that should have led to a win. I’m not happy with the coaching staff for helping to piss it away.

Brissett wasn’t good enough against a bad team. AVP schemes are good enough to get open receivers and he can’t hit them. With Matt Cassel Patriots would have won going away.

I am not mad, but I am trying to figure out why I should waste my Sunday watching this. This was 1991 bad. Undisciplined, dumb penalties, inept play calling and horrific execution.

I am on board with going with Maye at this point, as well as firing everyone from Jonathan on down. This is freakin' bad.
You have to be the same fan in good times and bad. Just looks at it the way I do. If they keep this up it’s going to obvious to everyone that the plan and the people they put in place to carry it out are awful. Losing because you just aren’t good enough yet is one thing, but losing because the people making the plan think this is how it’s done is just unacceptable.

To give Jerod some credit, I do think the defensive game plans have generally been fine, and today the unit looked mostly good despite how many pieces were missing or fresh off the bench. However, the offensive game plan - I have no idea if it’s good or bad because I don’t really have any confidence Brissett is actually executing it properly. But he hasn’t been replaced, so I guess he must be and the gameplan must just be dog ****.
Don't fall into the trap as they played Dolphins who were averaging 7.5 points per game with Huntley starting and Thompson starting. Mayo's D just doubled it.
@JackBauer
disagree with me? Thats cool... Converse with me, tell me why... It's why we're all here, to talk Pats football
Nothing like getting a drive by "disagree".

But I still think we should have resigned Guy so he could play 20-30 snaps a game.

It’s so easy to face the Patriots. Load the box on defense. Defend the perimeter.

On offense run the ball. Wear them down. It’s bound to happen with all their three and outs and their lack of depth on the front seven.

We can expect the Texans to score 35-40 while the Patriots likely barely manage 7-13.

Huntley is awful and achane was out. Mosthurt was supposed to be on a pitch count because he is just getting back and isn’t 100%.

Miami has had 11,10,12,13 in their first 4 games and 11 today

The Patriots had second half drives of 10,9 and 15 plays.

We allowed 372 traded to Huntley and the (second) worst offense in football.
SF and the jets put up 400+

We allowed 193 rushing yards after 148 to SF and 133 to the Jets.

24 first downs allowed today 19 and 27 last 2 weeks.
The defense is a mess.

The coaching staff said the players didn’t execute and can’t commit penalties like they did.

They were running for 98 yards per game and 3.7 per carry and thrashed us for 193 at 4.7.

I probably wouldve traded down from 3 in the draft. I wasnt sold on Maye. This teams needs a TON of talent. We will get it eventually.
So I’m not alone. We’re like Jews in Saudi Arabia.

It is literally their job to prepare the players. Literally.
Just saying they don’t seem to agree with you that the players have their all. Not sure how you gauge that from tv though

Averaging 8 yards a carry rushing and deciding to throw 34 times with Jacoby Brissett in a game that was never beyond one score is quite something.

The Dolphins won because they realized their QB sucks so kept running the ball 7/8 times in a row and got a touchdown, the Patriots didn't realize they were gashing them on the ground and JB sucks.

Maybe I’m biased for starting Maye but I feel like SO much of the pressure and offensive ineptitude is on Brissett. Even on successful plays he’s SO slow in his reads. There was an early 3rd down that he passed up a wide open Demario Douglas for a pitch and catch first down over the middle only to screen it to Stevenson and force him to break two tackles, which he did. He’s making everything harder.

The line wasn’t good today but it was good enough to make plays with a good quarterback.

I though the line was adequate by current NFL standards. Brissett definitely processes too slow.

I was hoping for entertaining football. With the season likely over the only thing left is to see Drake play IMO.
Don’t forget the other rookie QB.
